Thanks for the pic! Nice to see the serums (can't wait for the new skincare to order my first mega-haul). I looked at twitter once but could figure it out. Must be popular, it gets mentioned in a lot of places. Is it fun?

I see Twitter as the illegitimate child of blogging and texting (or "SMS" as we call it here). Think of it as sending a 140 character message that anyone can read. The best desktop application for Twitter so far (at least in my humble opinion) is Tweetdeck. After you've downloaded and installed it, its much easier to see the possibilities and applications of Twitter.

Sometimes people ask me, what is the point of Twitter when I already have a blog. The thing is about live action. The second I send a Tweet, that second everyone else who is subscribed to my channel on their iphones (or whatever phones and computers) gets it.

Imagine being able to get live reporting of a seminar or event without actually being there.

I am following Guy Kawasaki, Ellen DeGeneres, Makeup By TiffanyD,... if Enkore, Pursebuzz and xsparkage had twitter channels, I'd love to follow them.

Hijack: so you already saw the new Star Trek? I'm going to see it at midnight tonight, can't wait! That show (TNG, actually) meant so much to me when I was in my teens and college, and I'm still a Trekkie at heart :)

4 mins into the show and i'm bawling like a baby. I loved it so much! I knew JJ Abrams wasn't a fan of the original series. I knew he had said he'd be changing things up. I wasn't sure what he was going to do... I mean, we all know how badly retcons can go. He didn't disappoint. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but coming from a fan girl of the entire franchise (ESPECIALLY TNG!!! Jean Luc Picard, I want your babies!), I approve of the way he did it, even the jaw dropping moment involving a beloved vulcan and starfleet cadet -- you'll KNOW what I'm talking about when you watch it. I'm sure there are other fans who would vehemently disagree, but, well, I am a satisfied woman. I just have one gripe... WHERE ARE THE KLINGONS?!?!??!

Bye bye Zac Efron. Hello, Sylar.

Helping the threadjack along......
I am so dying to see this. TNG was my favorite, and I grew up with my Dad watching every episode of the regular TV series over and over. Hopefully soon! I am glad you liked it.

I think that might have to be this weekend's date. DH is a fan, and I always dated geeks- so I've kind of gotten into them over the years- but I'm not hardcore. I loved Babylon 5 though.

I have a Twitter account- and apparently there are a few SN followers- but I have grey hair, and I just don't get it- I've never tweeted. One of these days I'll figure it out. I do Facebook- after my mother and MIL shamed me into it. They're on it all the time. I'm a luddite- I play with rocks all day, and love it.

I was wondering if anyone had facebook and wanted to share it. I have facebook, my name is Mahsa Novak Balazadeh, if anyone is interested to add me.

I really am not a Star Trek fan! Wouldn't be able to watch it more than 2 minutes I think! But enjoy it all!

Oooh I loved Babylon 5 and still have inappropriate thoughts about Michael Garibaldi ;) Everyone has their own generation of Star Trek to love and mine was definitely TNG. I loved Voyager, but not in quite the same way. Although I still have inappropriate thoughts about Chakotay, too  I really did appreciate the sub-plot intricacies, honest!

(I had a boss who genuinely thought he had the statesmanship and enigmatic air of authority of Jean-Luc Picard. Shame he was, ahem, very much less of a man. Every now and then, when asking for his decision, he'd do the ole' pointy finger bit and say "Make it So" and I'd have to duck to the ladies to stop myself cracking it with laughter at the ridiculousness of him trying to emulate that).
