What SN color would be the closest to MAC's Vanilla pigment? I still have a bit left of a sample someone gave me, and use it to lighten up shades for the day or highlight. It's not white, more like cream, or in between.

Hi Egerandi,
to me the closest would be Vanilla, although I have to say I have never seen MAC's Vanilla in a jar, but only on one of my best friend's lids... and we both think my Vanilla looks extremely similar to hers.
I hope you'll also get answers from better informed people

Anyone else? I was eyeing SN Vanilla, just wanna make sure I end up with the right one. Or I'll just have to get another one of it's not the right match. And another one...

My guess would be something like Cream...I haven't played with Vanilla that much, but generally in my experience MAC's pigments are tend to have a bit more coverage than Vanilla- which is a little more on the sheer side. Cream is a nice one if you want a more coverage/pearlescent white.

The gals at Spektra claim that MAC Vanilla has a pinkish gold duochrome with a cream base (I have only seen swatches online). SN Vanilla is more a shimmery cream. There is a touch of pink, but the shimmer is more white/silver than gold, and there is no real duochrome to it. It has reminded me to get this back out into the rotation. It is a great color, but we might eventually need one like MAC's, too.

Thanks ladies! I think I may just get both

Vanilla seems pretty adored on the site and the forum!

I got SN Vanilla with my last order, and although it really is a must have, it's not like the MAC Vanilla pigment. Cream isn't either. The closest I would say is Fire, but the MAC pigment is more like a pale yellow gold, not copper or bronze. I love the morphing shadows - is there one in this color that I missed? I own Fire, Opal, Gasp, and I tried Sprite.
Here are some swatches from other sites:

It is time to call in Karen!!!!!
I figured it was not quite it becasue the ladies at Spektra know MAC, and their description was so good. It sounds like a color I would love, too.
