Here is the newest addition to my family. His name is Marley. He weighs 2.5 lbs. And I swear he was a real human in a previous life. He LOVES being spoiled and cuddled.

OMG!!! He's soooo sweet! I am so jealous, lol.

I've been wanting a puppy for our family for a while now, so I'm starting to kinda look around. I want to start off with a pup, a small breed, since my kids are still so young and they're scared of big dogs. Plus, we finally put up a fence in the back yard! I would totally buy a pup like yours! He's so adorable.

Very cute! I do hope he grows into his head, lol!

He's actually a purebred Yorkie!!! He used to be black and tan. Not grey like a mouse!I dropped him off to be groomed (trimmed) and they cut (shaved) all of his hair off except for his face. All of his silky black hair just gone!!! My daughter told me when I got back in the car with him "u gots the rong mar-ly" and I agree. I was livid. He tucked his little head in the nook of my arm all night. I know he felt naked. We are NEVER going back to Petco!

He looked the wrong color for a Schnauzer but sometimes the photos show different. Yorkshire Terriers are usually very high energy, good luck keeping up. I’m sure he will get used to his haircuts.

He is adorable!!! DH finished the "naked " sentence while I was reading it to him, and started laughing. I'll bet he did feel naked. Whatever made the groomers at Petco trim him so much? You would think that they would know how the proper cut for the varies breeds, not just grab the clippers and start cutting.

He's sooooo cute! I can see how he just melted your mother's heart- especially with help from your kids.

OMG! We have a Yorkie also and exactly the same thing happened! We took him for grooming (only the 2nd time he'd ever been groomed) and because he had a couple mats the groomer apparently took it upon herself to shave him short too. He had long hair up until then. My husband and I were like, "What the heck?!" Of course me being how I am I complained and made them refund it. It didn't fully remedy the situation of course but I didn't feel obligated to pay for something that wasn't satisfactory or what we wanted! It took it a while to grow back to where it needed to be cut again (prob around 3 months?) and now his hair does not look the same, at all.

However, he has grown out enough so now I just take him to the groomer (a different one!) and she keeps it trimmed neatly and also keeps the hair on the top of his head trimmed so it isn't in his eyes. We had the ponytail in it for awhile but he doesn't seem to enjoy being brushed (at all) so this seems to be less stressful for him. He is very wiggly at the groomer and I don't think she particularly enjoys having him there (LOL!) but he is only 1 year old, so she said maybe he'll get better. Ours weighs about 4.5 lb and his name is Bentley. However my daughter usually calls him "Bentley Boo Boo" or just "Boo Boo" for short. He is the light beige color. He was more multi colored, before they cut his hair.
They do enjoy being held! Bentley would be happy to be held and carried around, all day long!

Ok, I can deal with the mousey look for 3 months...but I do want his silky black hair to return! My Hannah calls him "Marleypoo"...its sooo cute. But she also calls her brother Myles, "Mylesepoo" Its funny to hear her little nicknames for everybody. But I am wishing his hair back fast. Thats what the groomer claimed, he has some matted areas so shaving was the only option. But I was not asked before they shaved my furbaby. He is still having some issues without his mane...lol.
