Super serum red skin?

Post by Cloudsnapper » Sat Mar 25, 2017 4:22 pm

So I used the super serum for the second time today, and it stung a little bit when I put it on but that's not to unusual. But then my skin kept feeling warmer and warmer and turned bright red. I washed my face and 30 minutes later it's mostly back to normal.

Is that a normal reaction to it? Or am I allergic?

Do you have any products that you use with AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) or BHA (beta hydroxy acid)? Sometimes those ingredients are in cleansers or toners.

It sounds like a chemical reaction...... Usually if you get that red with an allergic reaction, it takes benadryl or something like that to get it to calm down so quickly.

I think it must've been that. I used cetaphil face wash and lotion before and after, the lotion has citric acid which might have done it?

Looks like my lotion has citric acid, after reading more I'm pretty sure my face wash or lotion did it.
