So...we had a request for perfume clones,and that got me all excited about making perfumes again- especially with Valentine's around the corner. So just for fun we're having a contest.

I just blogged about it- and added some rather cool, important announcements. It's kind of a long post- but with a little google searching you can get a free tube of perfume as a reward!

Ohhh, contests are fun! and BTW, THANK YOU for not having one where you have to be the one who posts the most, or answers first, etc............ I always hate those kind because I work most weekdays and can't be on the computer all day at work.
J'Adore by Dior is a current favorite for perfumes. I am thinking I am going to have to get a new bottle of that - getting low on my current one (and it is a BIG bottle....)
I tend to go in moods with scents though. I was wearing Beyond Paradise by Lauder for a while and now have switched back to the J'Adore. Husband got me a big bottle of CK Euphoria for Christmas so I better start wearing that one more too -

Just wanted to thank you, Karen, for this wonderful idea of skipping the sales... for me (I am from Germany) it is not always possible to order whenever there's a sale (cause of the shipping, taxes, time etc) and so the free e/s and the discount on shipping is really great!

I am a little bit disappointed - why will you discontinue the Sassy blush? It is by far - and I have many of your blushes and from MAC etc - my absolute favourite!
I would order as much as I could as a backup, but sadly there are high taxes on every order over 30$...

Sassy is my absolute fav. too. i wear it everyday. lol.

I like Kama Sutra MisBehavin' and a discontinued scent called "Red" by Amy Brown (i bought 5 of the 9 bottles left in the manufacturer's warehouse in Chicago. I was distraught. lol)

Thank you for your announcement about saving shipping cost and some gift instead of having sale.
But I am sorry to hear about discontinued items.

I love Sherry and Peach Melba Lippie, Teal Appeal ES so much.
Sherry is cool bronzed color for brown makeup.
Peach Melba is natural Peachy Orange color for daily use.
There are few Peach...Orange colored Lippies in SN, so it will be hard to choose warm colors.
And it's so important thing for me...colors with no FD & C are so precious.
I'm so sorry that four no FD & C Lippies and one no FD &C blush will go away.

As I have warm yellow skin, some cool blue colored ESs don't suit me...but Teal Appeal can be used instead of blue.
Is Indian Summer similar to Teal Appeal?

I love lipstick shape Lippies better than Liquid Wands. I know...many girls love Liquid Gloss, but Lipstick shape is very useful for me.

Its a good move. To keep prices low throughout and still have the GWP for the ones who can spend more. Instead of one-off sales and some people miss it. Hurrah!

I have Thistle on my wishlist, but already own Velvet. Should I snag one of the last ones, or is Velvet very similar?
I was also looking at Smitten and perhaps Gidget, could you compare to whatever pinkish colors you're keeping?

As for fragrance dupes: I've been using Angel Lily for a while, and love it. When I visit my mom in Hungary, I always leave a bit of a sample for her, and it would be great if I could just ship the solid fragrance from now on.

I would also love to see something with fig, like Cielo.

i don't have any real fragrance requests...i have enjoyed wearing La Femme since i got it. i would like to get a couple of the pink e/s that are being discontinued, and i would really like to include a full size Mystic in my order. is it going to be available again soon (i.e. before the 16th when the to be discontinued products disappear)? i know karen made some quite a while ago and it was kind of mellowing out before going back on the website...

J'adore is my mom's all-time favorite and I think it would smell good on any age or lifestyle. This is an excellent suggestion!

I am sad to hear about Foxxy. Is there a similar shade?? Foxxy is my everyday blush.

I liked Seedy but I am willing to let it go. I may not recover from the loss of Foxxy though...
