It's my week-long Christmas break from work and I thought I'd get round to doing those Before-&-After shots of the Silk Naturals foundation. While I was at it, I went ahead and layered on some Oil Control Blur Finishing Powder. And then I decided to go the whole mile and finish my face.

All photos taken under natural 11am light with no flash. The background is dark because I was standing at my window with my face toward the sun.

Here's me with just a freshly washed and moisturized face.



Now here's me with...

* Foundation - 1 scoop Warm Gold : 1 scoop Ebony : 5 scoop Heavy Ivory
* Oil Control Blur Finishing Powder
* Climax Blush
* Aria Black Label Lippie
* Dolce as a liner on lower lid

Its not a very dramatic difference, but I think I look more awake and alive. More importantly, I did it all in less than 8 minutes. Yes, I used my stop watch and timed myself in-between photo takes.



And here's another photo of me 2 hours later. After a short walk to lunch with J. I'm quite impressed with the staying power of the Aria lippie. It's definitely faded somewhat while I ate, but my lips still retained that pinkish tinge, counteracting my pale-like-death-when-bare lips.

My routine can take anything between 8 to 30minutes, depending on how much I want to do. If I went the full route of primer, eyeshadow, concealer, stippling the blush, the extent of perfection I'm aiming for, etc... that can take a long time. My quickie method requires a light blush (like Climax), and a light liner (like Dolce), so that I can get away with if the application is a little uneven.

I'm going to attempt The Ultimate Quickie: concealer + Oil Control Blur + lippie. I think I'll do a pic of that next. Also, in my camera are swatches of eyeshadow with primer too.

Don't you just love Climax? I know I do.. its my very first and one and only f/s mineral blusher! I can't seem to stop using it...
