Hi ladies - Could you recommend some more colours for me to try please?
I just got Breathless - this is great - but it's right on the edge of warm for me. I would look awful with anything any warmer / browner / more orangey. Can you recommend something more cool toned and sheer(er), shimmery or matte is fine but definitely more blue-pink than orange-pink - thanks!
Oil Control Blur - it's not 'too' dark, but it does darken my foundation enough to make an obvious difference and leave a demarcation line. I like the 'blur' effect but found the texture accentuated my fine lines and looked cakey. Pretty good on the T-zone, didn't work for me elsewhere. Would regular Blur be a better formula, and should I dilute it with ivory foundation to help lighten it?
Fire - ahhh! I *love* this! I adore how it looks blended over Brimstone, those pinky shimmers (that colour shimmer is my dream lippy colour - I wish!) It's exquisite over Idolize too - any other colours you can recommend paring it with, or do you recommend getting the other colour morphing eyeshadows too to go with my mostly neutral grey / taupe / slate / purple eyeshadows?
Any other 'must owns' ? I'll gladly take your advice, it's hard to go wrong here!

Cooler shades of the organic glosses are Damsel, Seedy, and Infatuation. In the Kiss Bliss, Swept Away and Kiss & Tell. Of the newer ones, Sugar Plum (organic gloss) is in the cool range.
Do you typically wear cooler colors? Opal morphs to pink and is similar to Fire (which morphs kind of copper). Pixie is a great pale green that morphs kind of bluish and is on the cool side. I have usually paired Nekkid with Idolize in the past, but it might be a little peachier than you want. Chiffon is a lovely icy lavender. It would also mak a lovely cool highlight.

Re: Need some suggestions
Thanks a lot, Jen, I appreciate that. I like the look of Seedy and Infatuation, that's a good start.
I'm having something of a colour identity crisis and lost confidence - since finding SN and a foundation match, I've found I've been wearing all the wrong colours for me. I can wear any colour very lightly pigmented or a hint of an undertone, but anything bold or distinctive looks wrong against my pale skin. Most 'regular' non-mineral make-up colours look wrong on me unless they have a grey base, so blues, purples, beiges and warm browns all look bad and either show up the sallowness of my skin, or show up the paleness and blueishness around my eyes. For example, I used Aztec and the tan completely stuck out and clashed against my skin colour.
Completely neutral browns, greys and neutral purples are safe and ideal - Idolize, Brimstone, Rizzo, even Chocolate Twinkle are terrific. Amethyst cream eye liner is good, too. The veiled hints of copper and gold I've found to be really flattering. Yet, that's what confuses me; the warm sheens from gold and copper illuminate my skin, but anything with a hint of orange-tone, tan, brown-based lippy - it jars and sticks out as clashing. Blue-based pink lippy works for me as my lips are dark pink pigmented and Breathless is a good 'MLBB' if it didn't have that slight brown-ness. As lippy is usually a bold block of colour, it's more obvious when that colour isn't right for my skintone. So I don't understand why blue-toned lippy works, but blue tones eyeshadows / blushers look wrong. Equally, gold and coppery eyeshadow looks great, but true-warm tones look wretched. it's like a colour split-personality.
I use buttery gold in foundation - 2 BG : 0.5 Ebony : 35 Medium Ivory. (that's about 1 : 14 colour, and is as 'dark' as I can go, it should still be paler).

Re: Need some suggestions
Don’t be afraid to experiment with colors, even darker ones. It will really depend on how you wear them. I am about 1:20 mix so I am paler than you and can wear darker colors.
Definitely get opal, it looks great with purples and pinks.

Aw thanks for the encouragement mgmsrk - I appreciate that! I didn't think it was possible to get much paler than me
I do love dark colours applied with a light touch - it's a lot of fun fining out what works now that I've got the right base colours sorted out - and if it all goes wrong, well it does wash off and can start again. This might be an odd wee thing to say, but I rather like the indulgence and peaceful time it takes to sit and apply makeup, so doing it twice over is twice the fun
