Brush on Vit. C treatment

Hello,
I am fairly new here but with my last order that I just got yipppee, I received a brush on Vit. C treatment... I am not to sure when or how or why I would use this could anyone help!

Put it on your face with a brush at night after your moisturizer. It is kind of a night treatment.

What is the suggested amount and how do you apply? Kabuki or other? Brush on or buff in? Can you put it over any moisturizer, like oils too?

I am pretty sure just a light layer on your face. Over oils or any moisturizer is fine. I am not sure I would buff it in, but a kabuki would work great.

So, I know it says night treatment, but would it be safe to use for daytime, brushed over my moisturizer?

I'd really like to hear reviews on this one - is anybody willing to do a half-face experiment on this stuff? One side with vitamin C treatment and one without for a couple of weeks? Post the photos?

I will do the experiment but I am hesitant to post photos. I will give a thorough descriptive review, though.

Is this anything like the Vitamin C powder that Philosophy sell whereby you add a scoop to enhance the properties of each fresh application of moisturiser etc?
