Cleansing Conditioner For Grey/Silver Hair

Post by Kathleen » Wed Apr 22, 2015 8:56 pm

Hey Everyone,

I completed growing in my silver about four months ago (love it!).
I have used Cranberry Cleansing Conditioner for years, and I now wonder if it will continue to perform well if I add a tiny bit of purple tint to it in order to neutralize yellow tones? Has anyone tried this?

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for a clarifying treatment to gently remove yellow-inducing build-up from my hair?

My hair is easily 65% silver, short, and in good condition, so I am simply looking to prevent yellow and maximize the sparkle. Any suggestions to that end will be greatly appreciated ;)

The one reservation that I would have would be that the Cleansing Conditioners are cationic- so there may be some incompatibilities with whatever tint you're using. Starches, and some thickeners don't play well with cationics. If it works chemically there really isn't any reason you can't do it though.
