Ever since E.L.F. came out with their moisture stick I have been really intrigued with the idea.
It's not just a stick face balm, it actually has water in it to truly hydrate. I guess sort of like a face lotion made solid and put into a stick form.
I would love a natural version of this.
I know having water requires preservatives, but I am ok with the safe ones SN uses.
Not sure how feasible it is to make something like this, but just though I'd put it out there cauz it seems like a neat idea.

Re: Water Based Moisture Stick
I'm going to guess it dries up pretty quick...it was one of the issues we had with the hydrating powder we tried. I can't wrap my head around how we'd package it, and actually make it work right.
How about the waterless lotion bars? It seems maybe a little heavy for faces, but thinking along those lines...

Re: Water Based Moisture Stick
That makes sense about the drying up. I mean it sounds to me like this sort of product is really a water/oil/emulsifier like a standard lotion, but made more solid with some waxes. I guess the only way to get it from drying up would be to put it in a pot/jar. Like a solid balm in a jar.
The appeal is you get both water and oil based moisture like a moisturizer, but it;s got more wax in there so it kind of traps the moisture in better.
I'm sure the ELF one has all sorts of chemicals in there to keep it from drying up, etc. which may not be feasible to do with natural products.
I guess DuWop used to have something like it too called the flight stick, but it is discontinued.
