I've never done a red lip...
But I've always wanted to but have no idea where to start!
My HG foundation mix is equal parts of each of these:
1 Warm Gold: 1 Olive : .5 Angel Glow: 1.5 Zinc : 20 All Purpose, so 1 part color to 11 parts ivory all purpose
And
1 Warm Gold: 1 Olive : 10 Heavy, so 1 part color to 5 parts ivory heavy
What red is right for me?? Please help!!
Ill attach a photo so you can see what I'm working with for skin tone and depth. I have no idea if I'm light or medium or warm, or nuetral or what!
I have dark Brown eyes and my natural hair color is on the nuetral side of A7 or - Dark Ash Blonde
Thanks so much!!

I would try red gloss for starters. Sheer reds are much easier to pull off than lipstick. Then once you are comfortable with those, move on to the lipsticks which tend to have a much more saturated tone.
Hot Blooded and Bitten are pretty good places to start, but Bitten can run a little on the pink side.

i find strawberry fields to be an extremely wearable red. it's sheer and nicely balanced in tone, so it's easy to pull off
also, incite and peachy keen are nice sheer reds, but slightly more on the orange side.

Thank you!
Do you know what someone of my coloring should be looking for in a red? "Cool" or "Warm" or "Orange" or "Plum" or "Neutral?"

judging from your foundation mix, i'd say you should look for warm and neutral colours mostly.
strawberry fields is labelled as neutral, and i find this to be true.
i generally think that you cannot really go wrong with sheer lip colours, since they let your natural lip colour shine through and therefore adapt to your colouring.
i also think bright corals and oranges look stunning on olive skin

Cool...probably not. Just about everything else might be fair game, but leaning more neutral than too warm. (yeah, not entirely helpful

)

No, that is helpful Thank you. So I'm looking for more "true reds" and maybe orangey reds (warm is yellow, right?) And steering clear of bluey reds (cool reds) like plums?

Yes. You might be able to pull off a plummy brown shade, though (especially for Fall). Just not a plummy purple shade. I would probably also stay away from fuschia pinks.
