Hi Jen,

I'm back with another newbie. My beautiful friend Angela needs some guidance to get the right color. She's interested in both the powder and the cream formulas. Here she is.

kellyboo-

Warm Gold (about 1:6 or 7ish) and Golden 40 or 50?

It is also possible that it will be Olive (1:11 or 12ish) and Neutral 40 or 50. Is it afternoon or morning sun? Golden if it is morning/Neutral if it is afternoon.

Looks pretty afternoonish on second glance!

It's afternoon sun. I had an extra N40 that I gave her and she used it today (she's that ready to get away from toxic makeup but just didn't know what to use) and it looked great to me. She looks best in pinks though where as I look best in warmer colors so I'm not sure why we're wearing the same color. We do look a lot alike in coloring except she has a red undertone where as I might have a bit of a peach one.

Can you please help me? I don't know what color I am. I normally wear the light-medium neutral powder from Tarte with their medium BB Primer underneath.. here is a pic of my naked face.
Thank you so much!

I would try Olive in our powder and the Neutrals in the cream foundations. Olive will be a ratio of 1 scoop color to about 12 white.

Hi, I have the intro sample kit in medium coverage. I like the coverage but find it doesn't cover redness so I bought the green booster. I have been using 1 buttery gold: 4 ivory when I was really tanned in the summer. I'm neutral when I'm not tanned but lean more warmer when tanned. My current recipe is too dark now that Im losing my tan. What would you suggest for my current colour and how much green booster should I use? Thanks!

lindsay21- you could try switching to Olive base when you are less tan. The Olive is more pigmented than Buttery Gold. Try 1:10.

Or you could add 2 white and 1 green to your original recipe and see if that works.

Let me know how it goes, because we can adjust a little.

Thanks Jen! The olive base is working really well, 1 white to 11 olive. My original recipe with more white and green booster didn't work. I'm actually the warm gold when I'm tanned, not buttery gold as I thought so that may have made a difference. It is way too green. I also want to try the cream foundation. Any suggestions for color? Thanks.

Lindsay

So happy the Olive is working. Olive usually falls in the Neutral shades of cream foundation. You will be somewhere around N20 or N30. I think N40 will be too dark.
