Oh goodness no! We played with them a lot in the office, and there is a little bit of a learning curve when you're going from powders. I don't think it's anything too difficult for anyone, but it's different.

I've been having luck putting a little on with the applicator, and then blending it with my finger. If it seems sheer I put on another layer. I've also had good luck picking it up with a flat wet/dry brush and applying it that way. It doesn't gunk up a brush the way one of the silicone based shadows do- if it dries on the brush you just wipe off the residue (it's sort of powdery) and it's all set.

You do have to go with more simple looks- or at least I do. 2 colors max seems to be the most successful. It helps if I think of it more like nail polish for some reason- it's more like that than a shadow.

Definitely no dummy! It's a bit tricky at first, but Karen's suggestion is what I do as well. I usually dab some from the applicator onto my pinky finger and pat it onto my eyelid. I've had good luck layering it atop a base shadow as well.

I agree, I also find it works best for me when I put a small amount on my finger and then pat it on my eye-it seems to come out evenly for me that way.

Love the spring collection Karen!! :D

I have used cream shadows forever. I have dry eye and I also think they look better. Start with a small amount then add. This builds the depth of the color. I use my clean fingers or a brush.Sometimes I even give a light spray of mineral water and it sets it.Love cream shadows can't wait to get the new ones.Ordered 2.

Do I need to apply Stick 'Em underneath the cream shadows?

Nope...it pretty much is Stick 'Em. The only reason you'd need it is if you wanted to add glitter or something on top.

I ordered a bunch of them and can't wait to try them! I have oily lids and usually use my cream shadows as bases.
