SN *only* swaps????

I was wondering if maybe at some point through this board we might have the capability to arrange swaps of *only* SN products?
I have a few e/s that I am not as fond of as I am of others, but not so much that I would send them back for credit. There are a few e/s that I am sooo kicking myself for not getting the 50 cent samples of,that myabe somebody here doesn't really love.
Anyway, what I am trying to get at is that we all pretty much *know and trust* each other, and if you kept it to solely SN products, maybe we could work something out? or, (roflmao at myself, this is already happening, and I just don't know about it.....)

I think it sounds like a great idea. My only problem is the horrible rates with Canada Post. Anything more than 2cm thick is charged at a package rate, starting around $10 going to the US. I could transfer powders to a gag and the small containers would ship if they were taken apart.

I like it, too! I have some shadows that I know that I'll never use up and would be willing to swap a "sample" for another "sample" amount I'd never use up. Then there are the "looked great on the site but looks like doo-doo on me" jars, or the "what the He-- was I thinking" jars. If the samples were poured into plastic envelopes they could be mailed for the price of a postage stamp. I wonder, though, if the swap page should be connected to Karen's forum? Might it imply that some products are "used?" Might it also cut into her sales? We certainly don't want to chomp on the hand that fluffs us!!

you might do it with samples. The only reason karen doesn't offer them for all the products is because they're very time consuming and would negatively affect cs. People still want to TRY things so I think enabling is always encouraged. lol

I dunno. I think the shipping cost might be as much as new product. I tend to just give mine away to friends or family members if I can't wear them.
But I think it's a good idea if others don't mind the shipping cost. Thing is, a $4 eyeshadow costs almost that much to ship!

It would cost that much to ship in the JAR, but if we traded samples in small envelopes like Karen's (available at craft stores), they would go with a 1st class stamp ($.45 now, I think.) L.

Exactly! if we traded samples in baggies, we could all make out like thieves. It would give us an idea to see if colors really *do* look good on us, then we would feel ultrahappy buying full sizes since we already know they suit us. Since Karen had her 50cent sample sale I tried a few colors I would *never* have tried otherwise, and now I am scraping the baggie corners for the teeny-tiniest bits of pigment left.

I know Karen and I have discussed this briefly, but I am not sure where it stands for an 'official' swap board. We can definitely see what Karen has to say.
I have baggies that are 2"x2" that I bought in the beading section of my local craft store. I also have some that are 2"x3" from the same source. In all honesty, I have been swapping and giving away things from a few companies, as well as a few items I mixed up on my own. (I have to admit, though, it was always the SN I kept unless I had a sample of something I had purchased in full size.) I did get burned once out of about a dozen transactions, but that is a risk you have to take.

Ah! I gotcha. Yeah, I'd be willing to send samples. That sounds like a good idea.

Have my "smidgen" measure & baggies at the ready, LOL! Maybe an ISO thread wouldn't be objectionable? Someone so inclined to enable could just PM the searcher & it wouldn't need to be on the board, even. SN wouldn't be responsible, no personal info "out there"...enable, enable, enable...
I am not new to enabling, ROFL!!!
