foundation color help! switching from EDM golden fawn

Hi! I just mixed up some foundation using Buttery Gold and a little Ebony, but it just doesn't look quite right--it looks dull on me, if that makes sense. Last year I purchased a starter kit and made a perfect match, but lost the formula. I KNOW I used one of the golds and another tint, but I have no idea which gold or which other tint.

I used to use EDM's Golden Fawn, which was a very close match for me, but was a tiny tiny bit too yellow. I love SN, and I loved the color I mixed up last year...any ideas? I'm redheaded, and fair, but definitely more yellow than pink. Help?

Buttery Gold sounds right, but if is was too yellow on its own the other one really could be Olive or Warm Gold......or do you think it was Warm Gold and Yellow Booster? With the latter, you would have a little pink and could control the amount of yellow.

Sorry for not realizing that there's a sticky for color questions! Newbie fail. =)

I didn't have a booster, so I'm sure that's not it. I'm kind of wondering if I mixed olive with one of the golds--maybe the ebony is causing it to look a little pink...I know I wrote the first formula down, but I was pregnant at the time, so who knows where it went, lol! Looks like another sample pack is in my future!

The other thing you could try is just using Equalizer and one of the finishing powders. I set mine with Date Bait since I'm a little bit pinker than Equalizer and that takes the edge off. Haven't needed foundation since.
