Thinking about getting Allure, but have trouble with lippies pulling pink on me. Particularily if the shimmer/sparkles are pink. The swatch makes me think it might be one of those that pull pink, but then the swatches aren't always accurate! Caramel and Peachy Keen work well for me, Truly, Zinnia, Mirabelle, and others like that tend to look pink. Any thoughts/descriptions would be appreciated!

First of all, what is your normal lip color? If it runs a little pink, most lippies with any amount of pink in them will pull pinker on you as the color in the lippie just amplifies what you naturally have. Allure is one that does not pull pink on me even though others do as my lips are naturally slightly reddish pink. It looks pretty peachy, but it is pinker than Caramel. There might be enough gold in it that you would be safe.
As far as accuracy of swatches..... The thumbnail swatches are done on white paper. There will be quite a bit of variation to how they look on real lips since most of the lippies are somewhat sheer. The white background tends to intensify the colors, especially of the sheerer shades. The arm swatches are just to show how colors differ from one another since my skintone is not anywhere near a natural lip shade. Lip swatches are not very helpful, either, as there are more colors of lips than skintones. We would need an army of lip models. We do the best we can with what we have. Hopefully, knowing how we do them will help you in judging how the color might look on you.

Sorry, I didn't mean any offense about the accuracy of swatches-of course it would be impossible to swatch it exactly how it would look on each persons lips. I tend to find the reviews really helpful, but didn't see any for this color. My lips do have a lot of pink to them, so it I think it takes quite a bit of warmth in the lippie for it to show on me. Thanks for the description!

The lippies that pull pink on you pull pink for me as well. Allure, however, does not pull pink. I really like this color. On me its more of a neutral peach and has enough depth for my skin tone (medium-tan olive). The shimmer is very fine and hardly noticeable. I don't do well with shimmer either :p but I can pull of Allure and it looks good on me! hth!

None really taken, just trying to get the info out there as I see that comment often, and I am stumped for what we can do differently. We really do try to do everything we can for the customer to make as best a guess as possible...

Between reviews, swatches, descriptions, and the opportunity to ask questions on this forum, you guys offer a lot of information about your products. And the swatches are really helpful for comparing colors, especially if you own some of them. And your prices are so reasonable, so experimenting with colors isn't a huge risk

I have the same issue with most lippies pulling pink (all brands). I don't have Allure, (been eyeing it, but feared it would be too shimmery for me), but I do have Fanfare. Fanfare is sheer, but buildable and it doesn't turn pink for me. If you do order Allure let us know how it works for you.

I have Allure. It is certainly shimmery but not super glimmery in any way. The shimmer is there to glisten the lips IMO. Sometimes I get the impression that it is very shimmery, but when I stare a little bit longer it is not. I blame that on the sentiment of the minty sensations kicked in.
And for what it's worth, Allure is definitely peach. You might see a pink in it, but it is a peach, and a grown up one. So not orange, but peach that rather stands in the middle, right between pink and orange.
HTH!
