I had ordered my sample kit a while ago but i was only able to try my SN few days ago... and I am in love! And thanks to Jen I finally know what my undertones are...

Here's my question: how different would it be to mix yellow booster instead of buttery gold?

I mixed 1 ebony:0.5 buttery gold for the tint and it looks fine. I ordered yellow booster and i want to try it... i was wondering, how different it would be. And in terms of ratio, would i need more or less?

Thank you! :D

Buttery Gold is yellow, a little olive, and a good amount of a brown component. Yellow Booster is just yellow. I don't think you can easily use them interchangeably. I usually recommend the Yellow Booster to those who have issues with foundation being too brown to get the right amount of yellow.

You can certainly try to sub the Yellow Booster, but I think you will be missing some of the other colors you need. Yellow Booster and Ebony turn out to be kind of a cool leaning neutral with yellow, which might be good if you are very fair. Ebony and Buttery Gold end up to be a warm leaning neutral with yellow and olive. As for needing more or less than a half scoop yellow to one of Ebony...I can't really say as the resulting colors will be different. I would start at about the same for my experimentation, but Yellow Booster is much lighter than Buttery Gold and will affect your white amounts.
