Foundation shade

This post is for Karen or JenW - I tried a good while back to mix up a shade that would match my skin, but never could get it. I recently found a shade (from another company) that matches my skintone very good. I recently tried again to match that shade and still can't get it. I was wondering if I sent in a small sample of the shade if one of you could match it for me and then let me know the ratios that you used?

Thanks,

Cindy

Hi!
Jen is on vacation at the moment, but there's a fair chance that if you tell us which one matches you- Jen will know the mix. It's really her ninja skill!

Hi Karen,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Here is the link to the shade that matches my skintone. Let me know or I guess Jen can let me know if she has any questions.

Just from looking at the picture, it looks like an Olive with some yellow. Have you tried Buttery Gold? If that one was a bust in your previous tries, Olive with Yellow Booster is your best bet.

In the medium color range, Buttery Gold is a 1 scoop color to 4-6 white. For Olive, 1 scoop color to about 9-11 white. If you try the Olive, I am thinking 1 Olive:2 Yellow Booster:9White, but I would add one Yellow Booster at a time.

Hi Jen,

Thanks for your help. I did try the buttery gold and the olive/buttery gold and olive/warm gold - all of them was a bust. I will have to order a yellow color booster. I do have some medium white foundation from a previous order, so do you add more or less white if you're using the medium foundation?

Thanks,

Cindy

Probably a little less...but only one or two scoops less.

Before you order the Yellow Booster...was it an issue that it was too brown for the depth you needed? If that is the case, the Yellow Booster will solve the problem.
