I'm doing some new looks of the week, and am wondering what's a manageable number of colors for you??? I've seen Youtube videos where the color list seems almost endless.

Personally I usually wear 2-3 at a time- maybe with an additional liner color.

How about you? What works for you? There's a fine line between nicely challenging and pain in the butt!

Personally I'll normally use 2-3 when doing my eye make up. I'd be willing to go up to 4 or even 5 if one of the shades was a liner

On weekdays, I wear a liner, highlight and anywhere from one to three shades on the lid / crease... on weekends, I wear a one colour wash (sometimes I'll get daring and add a highlight).

Honestly, no more than 3, and then maybe a liner. My eyelids are just not that big, and if I start adding too many shades they all start to look muddy.

I have an (eye)dea.......maybe we could give you some eyeshadow colors...say 4.....and then you and your team could come up with the look for them. We wouldn't have to make it hard, or use any obscure colors.....it might be fun?

Daily, only 2-3, but I've done some pretty awesome looks with 5-7 colors. It's just so time-consuming I only do that when I really want to play around. And to be honest I could probably have achieved about the same effect with fewer shades, I'm such an over-blender that only I know I'm wearing that many shades to begin with.

Two examples:

usually 2, sometimes 3, only occassionally more than that... not including liner of course. I wear 3 blushes though... (a color, a contour, and a glow)

But, I did just want to throw in my support for the featured looks/looks of the week; I have been inspired by several of them, and have had to increase my eye shadow collection for each of those. (Every one I have liked, I have already had at least one of the shades, so I didn't need to buy the whole kit.) I love having a few more interesting looks in my repertoire!

I usually only wear 2-3 not including liner, and if I have over slept, 4:30 AM is a little to early sometimes, then I will only wear one.

Usually three + liner - either cream or darker shadow. On days when I have less time, I go with two: cover all lid up to brow and crease with something darker + mascara.

It varies....for me the average is 3 plus liner, but I've done looks with far more too, and far less as well.
