Mixing glow in foundation?

Hi everyone! I just ordered from Silk Naturals for the first time and I'm so excited!
I know myself and I *will* want to try right away with mixing when I'll receive the package, so I thought of asking few questions before.
I read a review on MUA that someone had mixed some glow powder in their foundation mix. I bought angel glow just to try (and if it doesn't work I'm sure I'll find other ways to use it)... has anyone tried this before? If so, what is the ratio?
Also, I'm switching from MAC MSF natural in "light" - what would be a recipe for a similar color?
Thank you so much! I'm kind of scared but also reaaally excited in experimenting and finally finding my perfect shade! (I'm really fair and so far the MAC one is the best I could find... others look terrible.)

You can mix just about anything you want into your foundation. Some add glow, some add their finishing powder, some add in other primers or color correctors.
Usually, for glow, we use Glow Base. It is another version of our white foundaiton bases and it is pretty glowy on its own. I substitute a few of my white base scoops with Glow Base.
I am sorry that I am not familiar with that color in MAC. Is there any way you can pm me a picture? Or give me some other information about your shade? (What color clothing do you feel you look best in? Hair color? Eyes?) I know it is pretty fair and that should not be a problem.

jen - thank you so much for your quick reply! I've realized there was the glow base after I posted my question

it's now ordered
Here's a pic of me without make up in sunlight - I have dyed black hair in the picture, but they are now medium brown. Eye colors are hazel. I'm half asian half caucasian, and both colors from asian AND western brands don't seem to match me :S

I am thinking Ebony and Yellow Booster for colors. I do see cool skintones, but a bit of yellow, too. Try 1Ebony:1Yellow Booster:9 whites. For the whites you can use up to half of them in glow......I don't think I would go much higher than that without trying it first.

thank you so much Jen! I finally know what my undertones are...
I think the sample set I order doesn't have the yellow booster - will buttery gold have a similar effect?

It is always worth a try before placing another order. For Buttery Gold on its own, try 1 BG: 8 of the whites.

RATS!!!!
Those are awesome-looking rats.
I like to mix the perfecting glows with my foundation - I usually use one sample jar of perfecting glow with one full size foundation.
