Foundation/face makeup help for oily+acne skin

Post by nellislica » Sat May 14, 2011 9:22 am

Hi all

I've been shopping from SN for a while, but it's mostly for lippies and blushes, and I thought that I should try the foundation and other face products :D

My dream face would be flawless radiant skin, but unlike a select few, I've not been blessed with such good genes. My country is very hot and humid, so makeup always feels like it's sliding off or separating and I always get shiny in my t-zone no matter how much powder I apply. I also struggle with adult acne and have red and dark brown marks on my face, and enlarged pores.

What would you recommend? Im really desperate for some help!!

Oil Control Blur is a good one to try. I would also skip All Purpose Foundation as it is better for drier skin.

Also, make sure your skin is hydrated. The excess oil and enlarged pores are sometimes a result for skin that is dehydrated. (Pore Refining Toner and a hydrating serum like Green Tea & Aloe would help.)

I would second the blur! It is actually Jen who recommended it to me a year ago haha. I also found Ultimate Luxury Treatment powder to really help with evening out skin-tone and reducing acne. I put it on before foundation.

Hope you love it! SN foundation has been an acne-clearing miracle for me.
