My odd "thank you Silk Naturals" moment :)

Hi Karen,

This seem kind of random but I've got a funny story to share:

I burnt my finger on a hot plate the other night *ouch*. After a few hours, the pea size burn was really dry so I grabbed the gentlest and most moisturizing item I found find - The Oatmeal Serum - and used a dab. Okay, I know it's not meant for burns, so I was expecting some kind of reaction, but no, it was soaked up nicely and seem to numb the pain immediately. I was amazed and so thankful that I had some of your product lying around and that a company such as Silk Naturals offering affordable and quality products is accessible internationally.

I'm not recommending that the Oatmeal Serum be used as a burn remedy, just to say thank you and how I am continually pleasantly amazed by your products.

Ching :)

That's really cool! I guess that's the thing about these products. The more naturally based they are, the wider their range of uses.

I had a similar thing happen.. I had a very awful cystic kind of pimple near my chin (stress and hormones- yuck!) and yes I squeezed, and then I used benxoyl peroxide - something I never reach for unless desperate. Basically, the BP ate my skin and left this raw, red and bleeding circle on my face, it was bizarre. The infection was killed but it wouldn't dry, wasn't healing, kept forming a crust-like scab overnight which would just crack in the morning and then the bleeding would start all over again. I tried keeping it moisturised and also tried constantly dabbing the sebum away but the skin just wouldn't form, it was always raw. Never had anything like it happen to me and needless to say I am NEVER putting BP on my face again.

So.. for some reason, don't really know why.. before I went to bed, after dealing with it for about a week, I packed on a whole heap of Dait Bait onto it. I was sick of walking around with tissues for dabbing. I really have no explanation for why I did it.. but when I woke up in the morning it was about 50% healed - was NOT weeping or bleeding. It was like the powder served as a psuedo-skin, enough of a protective barrier to really let the healing process take place. I carefully washed in the morning, without really washing away what was on it, and then packed it on again, and did the same before bed. Next morning - healed. It was pink and tender, but I had skin again - like normal skin! Haha.. I have since tried it with the original PP but it didn't have the same effect. I don't know what is so extra special about Dait Bait but for me it's invaluable for protecting and helping my skin heal!

 That's my thank you too!
