Question About Uses

Hi everyone, I've posted in the past, but haven't been around for a while. I have a question...are SN minerals interchangable? In other words, can I use glows for eyeshadow, eyeshadow for lipstick, blush for eyeshadow, etc.?
Thanks!
Kim

For the most part but a few of the blushes are not eye safe and some of the eye and cheek colors are not lip safe. It should say in the product info page somewhere.

We do have an Ingredient page on the website that we keep updated with the ultramarine and eyesafe information. Ultramarines are not lip safe and FD&C colors are not eye safe.

As long as you know what's lip/eye safe, SN stuff is pretty versatile

Sure! If you're not worried about acne- go for it. If you can use it on your lips you can use it on your face- with the exception of your eyes (don't put anything with a dye on your eye).

Karen, what about skin care...I do not see how many times a day? Like the Firming Moisturizer w?CoQ10 or Facelift, Vit C serums.

Skin care is really all up to you- it depends on what your skin needs, and what other products you're also using. I use Vitamin C as much as possible because I think it helps protect me during the day, and repair any damage at night. The Firming I tend to wear during the day, and then during the winter something heavier at night (last year it was Olive Oil lotion). If you're doing AHA or Retinoids they're an only at night sort of thing because they make your skin more sensitive to the sun when you have them on.

Hi Karen, what are the ingredient names on your list that are dyes - ultramarines, FDC colors, or whatever those letters are, LOL ? Any others?
Can I use the GWP "Fuzzy" as a lipstick? I absolutely LOVE the color! It is stunning!
Thanks!
Kim
P.S. Thank you to everyone who responded to my question!

Hi Kim! It's quite a list. I do try to put everything on the ingredients page, but the shadows are always difficult to keep up with but they're all accurate on the individual product pages. It's mainly blues, greens and some purples that you have to worry about.
In general:
ultramarines aren't lip safe because they contain sulfur, and if you're allergic to sulfa you could have a bad reaction to them. In general they smell a bit like sulfur if you get them wet
ferric ferrocyanide- isn't lip safe- it's a blue color
most dyes aren't eye safe- we really only use them in a few of the blushes and lippies. I'm not sure why they have this rule- lots of people use dyes on their eyes (other companies sell them- it's a no-no, but they do it anyway) and nothing bad happens. We follow the regs to the letter though because there are only really a few of them, so I figure they're pretty important.
If you have a GWP shadow they're nearly always lip, eye and face safe- if not, we let you know, but only like 1 or 2 in recent memory have had ultramarines in them.
