Sensitive skin suggestions?

Hi,
I have combination skin that breaks out into itchy little bumps near my nose and on my jawline whenever I use something that my skin doesn't like - which is often, because my skin has become increasingly sensitive after 2 prolonged illnesses.
I researched the ingredients in them and am thinking of ordering the green tea serum and jojoba moisturiser. I'm also planning to order the BHA toner for persistent whiteheads on my nose and little oil spots on my face along with ingrown hair and razor bumps on my legs! Does that sound okay to you ladies?
Also, how do you use both a serum and a moisturiser? Do you layer them or is there a morning-night routine with these?

Your skincare choices sound good for starters. Just be sure to try one thing at a time since you are a super sensitive.
To layer a serum and moisturizer...... Use the seum first. Allow it to sink in a bit, and then top with the moisturizer. In essence, you are using the moisturizer to help seal the water based serum into your skin.

That seems ideal - it'll provide so much hydration and goodness

do some people use just the serum though? If it's waterbased, I think I would prefer starting with that

Some do use just a water based serum. However, if the skin is dry or dehydrated, you really need something to keep the water in the skin. Anything with oil does that. Many times, those that have oily skin also have dehydrated skin, and the oil production is the skins defense to keep the moisture (water) in the skin.

That makes sense

skincare is actually just science, isn't it?

I wonder if you have what I had? I had bumps surrounded by a red rash type thing all over my nose and chin. Looked like I had a red muzzle on. If you google "perioral dermatitis" and its the same thing, I found I could only fix it through antibiotics.
I am a religious user of SN skin products and they didnt help with that, but since the rash has gone (THANK heavens! It was so itchy and flakey! yuck!) my skin is so much happier and moisturisers and things help now. The one thing that the doctor said about the dermatitis was that it flares up if you use skin products, and it did for me even with SN stuff.
But if thats not your problem then I'm sorry

SN products are nice so you are surely not doing any damage hehe!
