Lola & Shimmer??

Does anyone have Lola??? I was wondering how much shimmer it has. It is listed as a 3, so I imagine there is a fair amount. I prefer a 1 on the shimmer scale, but the color looks so pretty. My stupid lips are now reacting to all of SN lippies, but the new liquid wand formula. Only thing I can guess is Castor Oil, it's first in the other formulas and I think third in the new liquid formula. I HATE having so many allergies!! I so want to try the other new lippie colors, but my lips will swell up and burn
Thanks!

Just got Lola in the mail last night! The day is sunny and beautiful, I'll do a pic of it on me for you, then you can decide if it looks too shimmery!

After a bit of a makeup disaster, I got the pics taken! I decided to try dry (well tapped) eye makeup today...my eyes are not impressed. *sighs*
Here's Lola taken with flash to show shimmer. It's not the most shimmery shade by any means, its a nice sort of shimmer... Do you have Vintage or Summer Fling? Reminds me a bit of those mixed together...its a refined shimmer.
Here it is outdoors, can't remember if I used flash... Also wearing Bristol, Bailey, Basalt, no blush, I'll post more about that in FOTD!
Lola isn't overly pinky, it isn't overly bright...if it ends up a little pink for you I think a brownish lip liner will tone it right down! I think you should give it a go, in fact, I'll send you mine since you are sending me some lippies!

I'll try and mail it tomorrow...along with some overdue samples to Egerandi!

Thank you Kinjali! I tightlined/waterlined my eyes with Basalt mixed with eye drops (safest liquid to use in that area IMO!)...though that's really just a substitute for the Espresso cream liner I'm coveting (and waiting to get back in stock, and for the GWP to switch over, so I can rationalize ordering again...

).
I didn't cut my hair actually, but since the layers have grown out the ones around my face now look kind of like a bob when the longer bits stay down my back instead of falling forward... I've been contemplating cutting it though, maybe I should take a vote!
Die Marchen--Thanks! I agree, sometimes perfectly matching colors is a good thing...

Superwahz,
Thanks so much for posting the pictures. I think your eyemakeup looks awesome. I read on your FOTD post you weren't happy w/ it. Seriously, your eyes pop! You look great w/o blush, don't even need it (I on the other hand needed it today, haven't been sleeping and had to pull out the big gun...TART LIGHT). Lola looks very nice on you!! Thanks for the offer to send it to me, but keep it and wear it!!! I am happy my lippies found a loving new home!!
How are you applying your minerals wet? I've only mixed my mineral foundation w/ moisturizer. Do you just use a damp brush? I've not been having any problem w/ a liquid sunscreen w/ TD and ZO, so I may have to give minerals another try.
LOVE YOUR HAIR COLOR!!
Jen

Aww, thanks Jen! I actually liked the eye makeup, tightlining makes my eyes stand out like nothing else... It was my EYES that didn't appreciate it, I tried applying the powders dry, but with a well tapped brush...didn't go well. Even a tiny bit of dust in the air makes them itchy and cranky all day.
As for how I apply things wet...in the gumball foundation thread I describe how I'm applying that foundation (mixed 'til creamy with a non-alcohol toner and applied with a fiber optic brush).
The blush is super easy since I apply it when the foundation is still damp and generally the blushes don't fly about as much dust-wise, so I can use them in the normal way! Or else I use lipstick, applies just like a cream blush...
The eye shadows have been much trickier. I've tried a brush sprayed with rosewater, that works okay. I've tried mixing them with eye drops, that works okay too. But neither method wows me. I have a gel eyeshadow from another company that I suspect uses an aloe base, holds the pigments nicely. So, I'm thinking of trying an aloe based gel. My first stop will be at Whole Foods to see if they have eye drops like that. A more viscous solution than water/wetting drops will lead to better blendability I think. In other words, it's still a work in progress.
