Concealer Issues!

Hey ladies,
I need some help in relation to some concealer issues!

Firstly, I am looking for a skincolour concealer - do I just use the heavy coverage untinted base with my colour (olive) to make it into a concealer?? (Sorry if this is a dumb question!!). Its just that in the concealer section its mostly the sleep in a jar and unblush, so I am just assuming you make your own the way you make your foundation??

I've been using the unblush concealer on my rosecea. However, it really doesn't seem to be covering any redness. I need to use quite a lot (tapping the jar about 20ish times) to get enough concealer out to even make it look like its made a difference! Having to use so much out of the tiny jar, it doesn't seem to be very economical, so I was wondering if there was anything I could mix into it to make more of it and to make it more opaque?

Do you think I should mix some of the skincolour concealer I make into it? Or just mix into it some heavy coverage untinted base and some green booster (to restore the green colour that the white neutralises?).

I tried mixing some green booster into the Meow Green Concealer (which I also had issues with) and it didn't really make a difference - all it did was leave big chunks of dark green minerals throughout the concealer. Do you need to sift it through, to take out the lumps?

Sorry for so many questions in such a short period of time. I just sort of need to know I'm on the right track!!!!! :)

Well, the only rule I've learnt yet - try.
Or as Robert Scott said - To strive, to seek. Not to find and not to yield.

I tried making my own concealer the way you described, but a creamy concealer appeared and it worked better. (The color match was better too)

Concealers are a tricky area.

Things you could try for concealers beyond those that are offered are to mix a heavier and slightly lighter version of your foundation. It sounds like that means Heavy Coverage and Olive for you. If redness is an issue, adding the Green Booster might help. I am wondering if a skintoned concealer with a bit of green might help better with the redness. It might be the combination of green and white that is the problem. It really can be a trial and error situation looking for the right combination. You definitely know when it is not right.

Your mix with the Meow concealer sounds like it was not mixed well.
