Lip Care/Color Questions

1. I'm needing a lip moisturizer/treatment. I have some medical issues that causes my skin to be really dry and I'm constantly need to apply lip balm w/sunscreen during the day and at home, something that's moisturizing. I don't like the waxy feel of chapstick or how vaseline sits on top of my lips. I would like something that would have some skin benefits.
What's the best lip moisturizer/treatment Silk Natural's sells? I bought the organic coconut lip balm and LOVED it. One of my dog's loved it too. So I'm looking to re-order. Well, I was looking at the lip section and saw smooth and full black label lip treatment.
Which would be the better lip moisturizer/treatment (skin care type treatment).

2. I used to be a Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals customer. Not anymore. I need a lip product that is similar to BE's Poof.
Do you know if Modern Poet Light Nude Sparkle is a close match?

Hello,

Can't help you with BE's Poof I'm afraid, but as for the lip care, I would definitely vote for Smooth and Full Black Label Lip Treatment or Pure (which is a Black Label as well). Pure doesn't have the plumping ingredient so I suppose that some gals may not like it as much as Smooth and Full, but still it does have the same moisturising qualities. It's currently my favourite lip gloss :)

Oh, and I also like the Tahitian Vanilla lip balm. It was sold as a gumball but the current Tropical Vanilla Organic Lip Balm is very similar, only the smell is slightly different.

I hope this helps a little!

The coconut lip balm is my favorite. I like to first exfoliate my lips with my toothbrush and then I apply the lip balm before bed. When I wake up, my lips are smooth, plump and well moisturized. I'm a huge fan!

Smooth and Full is my absolute favorite to sleep in or wear as a balm. I like the other clear ones too, but that's a total winner.

As for Poof, Modern Poet won't really work to replace that. It's more nude than pink, and a bit too opaque to work the way Poof looks like (just judging from the site you referenced, I don't own Poof). It has a nice slightly pearly finish, but that's about it when it comes to comparison.

Edited to add: St. Tropez has a nice universally flattering nude pink hue, so that actually may work for layering like Poof. If it doesn't, it's still a liquid gloss that I'm sure would get 100s of recommendations on this forum :)

From a purely scientific perspective Smooth & Full has the most moisturizers in it...but the Organic Coconut balm is a good one too. That's Bitsy's favorite too- she actually sits pretty when I pull out a tube, in the hope that I'll give her a little taste.

i have badly peeling/chapped lips in the winter time, and the brown sugar and vanilla lip scrub + a clear black label lip gloss (my favorite is the devils food cake flavor, but pure or smooth and full would be the same) keep my lips smooth and moisturized.

I sleep in Smooth and Full as well...or one of the other lip balms and they all moisturize well! Though Smooth and Full seems to stay on my lips a bit longer than the rest, and my lips feel a bit plumper than the rest. Plus, I don't have to worry about the dog trying to eat it if it falls off my night stand!

Karen, you should do some sort of special product for all your doggie fans! ;)
