Hi ladies,
Just wanted to get some views and advice. I work day and night shifts and I am the only woman in my workplace that wears makeup..I am serious, the other 3 gals are not into makeup. Each time I makeup the guys will go like wheet wheet whenever they see me with bright es and gives me comments which i hate hearing but I am not bothered, hahaha...okay back to the point, whenever I work the night shift I still do wear makeup sometimes light and sometimes abit bright colours but the thing is sometimes i can rest abit so I have to clean up my makeup before I go to sleep (shhh!!! yes sleep) so I try to keep it simple though. Wat abt you gals if you are working the night shift??? Hope to hear from you.

Thank you.

I think makeup at work is a really subjective thing. What's acceptable at one job may not be appropriate at another. I'm a waitress which means i can wear more color than someone in an office (for instance, i like the color safety- which is bright orange, a lawyer or even a secretary probably shouldn't be wearing bright orange eyeshadow- likely there is something in their work handbook about not wearing bright orange eyeshadow). On the same note, one of my friends is a stripper- and her makeup is waaaaay more intense than i should ever consider wearing to my job.

I work different shifts- sometimes afternoons and sometimes evenings til 1am. I don't really do my makeup differently for either, though i can say i am more likely to put effort into my look at night because frankly i don't like getting up early to go to work- at night i have plenty of time to put myself together.

yea xarata,
agree with you for the diff types of job we hold and the kind of makeup accepted in one and the other. I do get to rest abit at night when theres nothing much happening at work but it depends also...so i prefer to keep it simple and not have to clean and scrub at work..hahaha
appreciate your input though.
