Awww, those are all so pretty!... and tempting. I was considering one last summer, but wanted to save up for one and the sumer was gone. I forgot about it until I saw this post, so maybe this is the summer I'm getting mine too :)

Thanks! I got it on my tummy- which is a very good reason to go on a diet and stick to it. I didn't quite think of that before I got tattooed, but it will be interesting to see what happens to it as I get older.

I'm in love with so many of the tats on these threads- they're so unique, and so personal.

If anyone goes in for a new tat- I've got some tins of salve! Just email me.

Oh- yup- I think a "live in the moment" collection would be fun, but I can't really speculate on much for the moment (see the Fairwell Jamie thread).

It is funny how yours reminds you to stay on your diet....mine is turning out to remind me I don't need that sugar.... ;)

I agree, all the personal stories that go along with them are so cool.

I added "take pic of tattoo for sn forum" to my to-do list for tomorrow, so we'll see if it gets done. :)

How is the itching, Karen and Jen? PLEASE don't scratch or peel, as that might damage your new art.

For me it is not bad. Before I moisturize it, there is just a little flaky skin around the edge. Otherwise, no redness, no crustiness, no itching, and it is nearly healed (I know it is kind of quick). You have to remember that I have an awesome tattoo balm that I have been applying about 3 times a day since day 2. And I was really good about keeping it clean and doing hot compresses three times a day. I am now slacking off a bit because it looks so good.

That's so awesome! :D

The flaming lipstick is so fitting, Karen. I hope this inspires another new collection. ;)

Your sister's heron is beautiful!

Christine, I've always loved your shoulder tat. Wish I had thought of cherry blossoms or something similar.

Laurie, that kitty is my favorite. How does it feel to know you started a trend?

Mine I think a lot of people have seen already? Sometimes I feel like I like it better backwards. Since I only ever see it in the mirror, it always looks so odd to me when I see real pictures of it.

Ladies,

I love all your artwork!!

I have wanted one for sometime and know what I want (large gargoyle on my shoulder/back watching over me). My problem is I FEAR the pain (also fear what I will look like when I am old and saggy). What does it feel like??? Does it numb as they work on you?? Also, did you shop around to find the shop w/ the best fit? I can't imagine just walking in anywhere.

Feith- that's gorgeous! I had a minor setback when Bitsy jumped on me as I was going to sleep (wasn't on guard)- it's not pretty at the moment, but I think it will be ok eventually. I'm trying very hard not to look at it, touch it, or think about it that much.

@JenK- for me, it got worse as he went. The outline wasn't horrible, but when he started filling it in, and then going back over things it was a bit rough. I have pics of Jen making sort of a "pirate face"- I'm pretty sure I did the same. I'll just be happy if I live long enough to get old and saggy! I figure it will be interesting to see what happens.
