Hello-
I am 39 and need to start with a skin care routine. I have sensitive skin (burning, redness and irritation) with a lot of products that say good for sensitive skin. I was using an oil cleansing product from Cocoa Pink (she closed). It did not break me out or cause any irritation. I have ran out and I tried olive and castor oil, and then just plain coconut oil and they were both good for a few days then I got little bumps and irritation. I will mention that I have dry skin. I would like recommendations for a whole routine, with cleanser and serum and moisturizer. Thanks in Advance for all your help!!!
Michelle

Do you have anything else you are trying to address? A good basic routine for sensitive dry skin at your age is Apricot Cleansing Oil, Oatmeal Serum, and one of the simpler moisturizers (Emu, Raspberry Seed, Jojoba). To add in some treatments, Facelift Serum, and Firming Moisturizer.

Hello
firstly you have taken the right step coming into Silk Naturals. I shld say that I have changed my skin routine to SN products and can see that my face complexion and scar/pimple issues have improved drastically. My fav are the super serum, vit c and just got the superlift serum and the moisturisers wld be hemp and jojoba. I also got the aloe and oatmeal serum which I use alternate days. The apricot cleanser is very lovely and not too harsh on the skin and it gives a refreshed look. The microdermasion (hope got the spelling correct) cream and gel is great. The BHA/AHA toner are also recommended. I am happy with the results. Hope you will be too soon dear. Good luck.

I have similar skin to your type based on what you say about your experience with oils, and I've noticed that exfoliation is really important as well as moisture to prevent the bumps I get. I use the BHA toner and the masks for this purpose. IDK if you can use the BHA or if it will irritate your skin, but the masks are pretty gentle.
I like Jen's recommendations of the cleansing oil and the oatmeal serum. I know your skin is dry, so you might try one of the moisturizers she mentioned, but I find that the particular oils in the hemp moisturizer (and hemp-based soaps from other companies) have helped with the bumps, so maybe consider getting a sample of that too even tho it's ostensibly for normal to oily skin.
The women on this board told me about a skin condition called keratosis pilaris. That helped me clear up my skin quite a bit. A lot of the medical websites' descriptions of KP say that the bumps are hard and normally occur on the limbs etc etc etc, my skin is quite different than that but has responded to the types of treatments KP responds to, so for now, I'm assuming it's that.
IDK if that will help you, but the coconut oil thing sounded eerily familiar to me.
HTH.

Thank you so much for all your help. I ended up ordering the ACO I have only used it for 2 days, but I love it so far. I got samples of several other products to see what is best for me.Thanks again!
