Eye shadow fades - any advice?

I used an SN eyeshadow for the first time today (Lunar, a small baggie was included in my order). I used a primer and a paint pot, and it still faded off to nothing after 4 hours. Any advice how to get my eyeshadow to stay put?
Thanks.

What you may need to do is reduce the oiliness of your lids, which you can do by hydrating it sufficiently. Others had success after a few use of the Aloe and green tea serum. I personally use UDPP, and it holds up all day as long as my prep my lids beforehand. You could also dust a bit of oil control blur or oil control primer on top of the primer cream for extra grab.

I like Too Faced Shadow Insurance and UDPP for getting vivid colors, but I've also had good luck with the Silk Naturals eyeshadow primer in terms of staying power. I agree that dusting with powder over the top is important too.

I've never had luck with UDPP (or any other primers, they only keep me crease-free for a couple of hours at most), but I just got a sample of Blur, so I'll try dusting that on top of primer, then eyeshadow.
I moisturize my lids every night, so I don't think there is much else I can do for oil production.
Thanks for the tips ladies.
