Mineral Makeup and weddings

Hi guys, I'm after a bit of advice
I'm getting married in September, and am starting to think about makeup. I've used SN for about 6 months now, but have heard that mineral makeup isn't great for weddings as the minerals look really white or shiny in wedding photos. Is this true? Is there anything that I can do to avoid this, as I've never found a non-SN foundation that is the same colour as my face.
Other than that, ideas for colours would be well received. I am pretty pale (1WG:12/13 Ivory) with mid brown hair and blue eyes. I was thinking maybe wink wink and nudge nudge on my eyes, but is this too shimmery for photos?
Thanks
Liz

i wore mineral makeup to my wedding and it didn't look odd. Granted i did get married at night and it was summer so i didn't go super heavy with the coverage or anything.

This is probably one of the whitest ones:
*I will add that i didn't wear SN foundation on my wedding day. I wore a blend of terra firma samples. I do feel SN tends to be on the whiter side in finish (due to the high levels of ZO and TD). And that that second picture was supposed to be goofy but the 2 on the right didn't make a face

You look gorgeous, Samantha!
I was just about to say if you are getting married outdoors, the natural lighting won't have the white cast reflection problem.
If there's gonna be flash photography, just make sure your finish is matte.

Wow-those pictures are gorgeous!!
I'm getting married indoors, so fear that there will have to be flash photography. Ideally, group shots will be outside on the beach, but as I'm getting married in september in cornwall (sw england) there is a pretty good chance that it will rain!
Are there any finishing powders that are more matte than others in SN?
Thanks

lol. i got married at night- trust me, there was plenty of flash photography. You should be okay. Maybe set up a test photo day with your photographer? He/She could take some couples photos and you could see what the result would be

Sam you look absolutely gorgeous!
Congratulations!!!
Titanium Dioxide is the one that you have to worry about in flash pics...all of the foundations are formulated to be flash friendly, and I do test them out before we release them. Most pros, and the labs they use should be able to handle our foundations with no problem. DH, and my father were wedding photographers, and there are all sorts of little tricks that good photographers use to make you look your best (like using a long focal length lens so you look skinnier). If you have a good photographer you're going to be fine.
Flashes always bounce more light off faces than you'd like, and you always have to add a little bit of density when you're printing- makeup or no makeup. It's just the nature of the medium. Pretty much any decent photographer, and lab does it and you don't even know about it. If you're taking film to walmart or a grocery store you have to worry about it a bit more, but you should be fine if you go to a good lab.
The other thing to watch out for is the finishing powder. Go for our regular Perfecting Powders over the Blur- silica likes to bounce a lot of light.
Try it at home with your regular camera and see what happens- that's about your worst case scenario for photos. Your photographer will probably have some diffusers or bounce devices on their flash, and by the time they're done with the prints you're going to look gorgeous.

A gal on the other forum just said she had ghosting issues with other companies but not SN, if that helps.

I let our wedding photographer talk me into letting her do my make up with her products instead of using my own and I kind of regret it. It's not that she did a horrible job, but the foundation she used on me was cakey and too dark, my lipstick was too brown/frosty, my eyebrows looked too short and the eye colors ended up looking muddy about an hour into the day because she didn't use a proper base and the stuff she used on my skin was too oily and melted in the summer sun!

All in all I've made peace with it, but if I had it to do all over again I'd wear SN...it just looks more me.
I've taken pics indoors and outdoors, flash and no flash with probably 3 different cameras and never looked too white. The only thing I've noticed is that sometimes the glows look too shiny, but then again, I have oily skin. SN foundation looks way better in pictures than any other I've ever worn. So I'd say, see if the photographer will do some test pics, but in the end, wear what makes you feel beautiful on your special day!

Thanks for all the replies guys.
Guess it's just a question of playing around, getting my fiance to take photos with our digital camera as a worst case scenario and seeing what it looks like.
We get a studio session with our photographer as well, so I'll wear SN for that and see how it comes out
