FD&C colors are dyes that are approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration in food and cosmetics. They have benefits over more natural dyes in that they retain their color better, and are colors that you just can't get in nature. Our Food and Drug Administration deems them to be safe for consumption. Do dyes cause cancer? I am not sure they have proven this to be true for normal consumption. I think in small amounts we are all pretty safe. I do still try to think of things like this as fine in moderation.

When Karen makes lip gloss, there is as much dye in a glass of Koolaid or Fruit Punch as there is in an entire batch of the gloss (about 100 or so tubes). She tries to make the colors with more natural ingredients where possible. If it is a concern for you, we do list the ingredients specific to each color so you can make an informed purchase.

Thank you Jen.
I did little more research and now I think that it's not that bad as it's approved for use in food, drugs and cosmetics. I was just little bit confused. :) Now I know that opinions about FD&C color are various. I think the same like you think, small amounts are safe. There are worst things like this in food .
Thank's again Jen, I don't need that list :) I already got 15 lippies in my wish list :D
I LOVE SN :D
