Casual Red Black Label

Wow. I am so impressed with this, I had to write and praise it to the rooftops. It's such a clever colour! In one light, it looks slightly brick red, in another, a touch berry. It's muted and subdued but oh so elegant. Most importantly, it is literally a casual red and as easy to wear as the name implies. Don't be fooled, folks, that's no small deal. Reds are notoriously difficult to wear, but this is an absolute triumph of colour craftsmanship. If released into the permanent line, I could see this being a universal staple.
...and it's black label, too! Ah! Love!!

Actually, it is not a Black Label. It is the lipstick formula we tested out before settling on the current one we use. The ingredients are not like the Black Label, but more in line with the Kisser Slickers, but slightly waxier. The other lipstick that was poured at the same timeframe as a tester was Impulsive (I think).

Oh really? Hah! Fooled me

The formula is fabulous and feels every bit as luxurious. Either way, I hope the colour can be saved.

I love that color, too. I like the formula, too, but Karen wanted something a little more moisturizing.

Yeah, I am so jealous of the people who got this! Anyone have one they want to swap? I have three unopened gwp colours, and a whole lot of other stuff... several lippies...

I've bought a fair few "red" lippies from SN (and other places) trying to find a red that I could pull off without looking like a clown. And wouldn't you know it, the one that works came as a random surprise!

Granted, it's not the bright fire engine red I wish I could wear, but it's still a red!
Cupcake is right, it feels sooo nice, I can see how it was an in-between formula as Karen was developing the black label base. I don't get why I can wear it, by all rights I should be sending it to my sister, where all the other reds go... I really hope the color can make it to the site, maybe as an actual black label lippy? Pretty please?? I think it would work for a variety of skin tones.

I would be interested in a red I can wear... if it's "the red version of Birthday Suit" by which I guess I mean a neutral-to-warm red with a hint of brown (which it sounds like it might be) I'd be into it.
