What do I really need?

I am 30 and never used "stuff" on my face but after 5 children and now pregnant with my 6th I have a red I guess zit on my face... and I am starting to feel my age. Never had skin issues before and hardly ever have make up on. I am pregnant though so what ever I use needs to be safe for baby... just what to start with. I think my skin has gotten dry, we do live in the desert so this should not be a shock to me right.

I have face cleaning cloths that seem to dry my skin more...
So do I need s toner and serium and masks and things that make me feel so very clueless? Help please!

I'm a little over 30 and my skincare routine is simple, I put on jojoba oil after washing my face or taking a shower. And once a week I do a mask, either Honey and Oat, or Banana. I sometimes throw in a few smushed up uncoated aspirins and some more honey, if I feel like my face is flaky or a zit is coming. And I use Holy Crow under my makeup in the morning if I'm feeling a little wrinkly around my eyes. O and I use the Eyelash Gel at night to keep my lashes looking glamorous. That's it :)

Since you don't use a lot of makeup and don't have many issues I'd recommend keeping it simple, also.

Congratulations on the new baby! Just keep it simple, and do what you have time for and are comfortable with. I can't imagine having a whole lot of extra "me time" to fuss with a complicated routine with all of the little ones running around.

The Green Tea and Aloe serum is a nice place to start- there isn't anything weird in it and it's nice for hydrating dry skin. If you want a nice cleanser try a bottle of the Kiss Cleanser, or even more gentle is the Apricot Cleansing Oil. In a few days we're coming out with a couple of new things too.

My skin is really sensitive as well as dry in the winter months. I love the apricot cleansing oil. It is super gentle and rinses clean; it even takes my makeup off 100%! The green tea & aloe serum is my favorite, and I use it day and night. I have even put it on my daughter's face when her face was dry and irritated as well as when she had a small blemish. No problems for either of us.

The lip balms feel wonderful, too. The moisture lasts, which is a good thing when you are a busy mom! :D You might also want to try one of the lippies (many of us cannot stop at just one! ;) ). Even if you do not wear makeup very often, the lippies are nicely moisturizing, and, when my daugher was a baby, I always felt better if I had "color" on my lips, even if I didn't have time for anything else.

The sample sizes are generous sizes, and usually last me about a week, which is a good amount of time to see if something is going to work for you or not. Plus, they are inexpensive.

Congratulations on the new baby!

Thank You all!

So with the serum I just rub that on like a lotion and leave it and I can do it twice a day?

Yeah, simple is important. I know everybody's skincare needs are different, but I'd say choose three steps that you think would address your specific needs most closely. Any more than three steps gets to be kind of daunting IMO.

Example: dry skin
1. Apricot cleansing oil
2. Oatmeal mask (a couple times a week)
3. Green tea and aloe serum

example: oily skin
1. KISS cleanser
2. pore cleansing toner
3. hemp moisturizer

example: normal/combo skin
1. apricot cleansing oil
2. BHA toner
3. raspberry moisturizer

Of course there are endless options, but I hope that helps a bit.
