Mascaras
Mascaras
I'm still on a search for that HG mascara, so far the one I keep coming back to is Max Factor Max. I've been using Diorshow but was pretty underwhelmed, and before that Max Factor false lash effect (it was okay after it had dried out a bit lol) but I was wondering if anyone knows a good one? I haven't tried the SN one, mostly because I like the false lash types, is it really buildable?

Re: Mascaras
I don't know why but I can't bring myself to spend a lot of money on mascara. I have in the past but they never really seemed to work any better than the drug store ones.
I am currently using Cover Girl Lash Blast and I really like it. It took a while to get use to that fat applicator...had a few minor mishaps
I have another one that I reall like, but for the life of me I can't remember who makes it. It has a lash primer on one end and the the mascara at the other and that one really lengthens my lashes a lot. I want to say it's Max Factor...somehow it has vanished...my cat likes to play with my makeup

Re: Mascaras
Yeah there's a max factor one with a really fat brush! The false lash one, it was pretty good but only after it had dried. I think the thing with mascaras is lashes can always be thicker or longer or curlier so we're never really satisfied
I've never seen cover girl over in the UK, but I'll keep my eyes peeled! Thanks

Re: Mascaras
Mascara HATES me, always ends up on my face w/in minutes. I've had luck w/ SN's. It is buildable and stays on. I swear the cheap ones are better than the expensive ones. You would think after all these years they could come up w/ a better product.
Re: Mascaras
I have sensitive skin, sensitive eyes, etc etc. Is the SN mascara really gentle? The only one that doesn't make my eyes dry out and sting that I've tried is Ecco Bella. Is SN's like that?
Re: Mascaras
I am the same way and haven't had any reactions. I only wear it about once a week though. I am always rubbing my eyes, so I tend to stay away from mascara (this has stayed on when I've fogotten and rubbed).
I haven't tried Ecco Bella.

Re: Mascaras
I really, really love Rimmel's Sexy Curves mascara right now. Nice long lashes, buildable, and really great wearing. Unless I stand in a rainstorm, the stuff stays on 'til I wash it off with eye makeup remover. That's the regular version, not the waterproof one! I also have super-sensitive eyes and wear contacts. I have not had problems with this one.

Re: Mascaras
I like Rimmel too, especially for going out. For daytime, I'm using Lash Hugger Natural Mascara from Tarte - no parabens. It's nothing special, but it does give a nice even and dark coat, no clumps, an emphasizes the lashes I've been growing with the SN lash serum. I got it as a sample from Sephora, we'll see how long it lasts without drying out and going yucky. I prefer smaller sizes anyway, full-size mascara is kinda wasteful considering the drying out and the 6mo max use.

Re: Mascaras
Hey Sewwies,
I have bought umpteen different mascaras over the years, but the first reasonably priced one I've found and repurchased is the Maybelline Lash Stiletto - I'm now on my 3rd (or maybe even 4th tube).
It really separates and lengthens my lashes and is a very intense black colour; I use the regular version (rather than the waterproof). It has a good sized brush (rather than one of those rubbery comb type contraptions) and it doesn;t dry out, flake or smear like some I've used in the past.
Costs about £8 quid from Boots, but they often have money off or 'buy 2 get 3rd free offers'.

Re: Mascaras
OMG that's my fav one too and for the first time ine my life I'm actually buying a 2nd one. It does capture those small lashes really well and I love the brush too. That being said I have brought the SN three times and I love that one as well. It just coat every lash well and is buildable (but as with any mascara don't over do it.) The only reason I brought the stiletto one was because I lost my SN one and need a spare desperatly (trying to ignore that fact that I have brought loads of mascara that I could have used but I don't like any of them).kitten1711 wrote:Hey Sewwies,

I think buying the SN one is a wise investment, Sarah
