Can AHA cause skin peeling?

I have been using the AHA toner everynight (well, almost everynight. I do have lazy days :o ) for going on 2 months now. I noticed yesterday that the skin around my nose is peeling. Kind of like a sunburn would peel. Could this be from the AHA? And if so, does that mean I should quit using it or not use it as often?

When I first started using the AHA I did have a purge that lasted about a week, but since then my skin has been great. I did add the Intensive Moisturizer a couple of days ago, but I don't think that would cause my skin to peel. :?

TIA

Susan ;)

Try using it less often......especially in the drier months. I hope it clears up soon!

Thanks Jen! Do you think 3 times a week is good and then maybe the Pore Refining toner the other days?

Yes. That would be a great place to start considering your normal usage pattern. I know I was more of an every other day AHA before the dry weather, and now I do only once a week.

I'm not sure if it's me or the AHA - when I first used it (a couple of times a week) it was fine. The past three months or so, it's been so stingy I can't bear it on my face - I've tried it maybe once a month.

I think I bought it around August or so - would it have gone off since then? I know some things have a pretty limited shelf-life so maybe after it got to the three-month mark I should've pitched it?
