Just got my haul, and of course I'm in love

What I got:
- Bag of Heavy Ivory refill.
- Lady, sample
- Zinc Powder, sample
- Ultimate Treatment Powder, sample
- Mixing Medium
- Black label lippie
- Tailfeather, GWP
- Pristine Glow, free sample

So far, I really like all the blushes I have from here. They stay true to colour, and blends so well into my skintone. Lady applied lightly, gives the perfect blushing maidens cheeks. Applied a bit heavier, it makes a very pretty just in from the snow look.

Zinc powder...I will give this one a test run and see how my skin reacts to it. Application wise, I think I actually prefer Perfecting Powder, since it just feels as if it applies smoother and silkier. I'll see if the zinc powder works to calm my redness down and helps with my breakouts.

The mixing medium is a godsend, truly, especially if you like me like to use powders as liners. The tiniest drop is enough to line two eyes and then some. No more dark fallouts, and suddenly I can make intense smokey eye looks too! :D

I was hesitant to order another lip balm, since I already have quite a few albeit not as moisturising as I would like. The black label lip balm have me contemplating throwing the rest of my lip balms away. It is just that good! I thought the lip balm that was moisturising enough for my winter dry lips simply was a dream, but it does exist. If you do not have one, you definitely have to get one right away. Your lips will thank you.

I've seen a lot of people rave about Tailfeather, and I do really understand why. In the jar it looks like a taupey brown, not all that exciting. But on the lid it is just WOW, WOW, WOW! It is still essentially a taupey brown colour but there's all these shimmery, silvery undertones to it...there's not words to describe this colour really, since it has to be worn to get the whole gorgeousness. What I am most impressed with, however, is that despite it being a powder shadow and so shimmery there are no fallouts when I apply this and it applies so silky smooth and intense at once. That, to me, is real craftsmanship.

Pristine was just glitter, essentially, to me. Nice for a night out, but nothing I would wear everyday.

Glad you're loving your haul. I know what you mean - the Black Labels would be the very last thing I'd ever give up. They're so good. I haven't found a glow that works for me yet, but Tempt Tryst / Date Bait do nicely enough.

It's like the thing going on about the brushes just now, how folks are agonising over whether or not to buy the kabukis - I guess that we're so used to hype and expect disappointment. I'm really glad that you found that the Black Labels live up to their reputation and I hope that'll help build confidence. Sure, we all get duff colours now and then or things that just don't work for us as well as they do for others. I really like products from a few minerals companies but this is the only one that I trust.

Looking forward to hearing how you get on with the Zinc. I used it 50:50 with Ivory as a foundation base last summer but I haven't used it in a while and would love to hear how it stands up to winter weather.

Thanks for the review! I haven't bought a black label yet but it's on the list.

I wore tailfeathers yesterday and posted pics here somewhere. I love it. I am wearing a color from the urban decay "natural" (yeah right) palette today and it's just not as good quality as SN eye shadows. The shimmer is gone (not that I really want shimmer in my "natural" shadows but still it's spotty now) and the UD color is faded with the same primer I wore yesterday ...which lasted 12 hours. And UD is soooo much more expensive, even in palettes. So I'm sticking with SN now. Just can't say enough good stuff about it.

You definitely do need to buy at least the clear black label balm, because it just is the best lip balm ever. I found a use for my old ones, as cuticle butters. Works wonderfully.

Just applied my ultimate luxury treatment powder and I love the feel of it on my skin. So very smooth and soft. It does have a slight white cast to it upon application, though on my pale skin it is actually desirable since it evens out my skintone nicely. No more going to bed with a ruddy face. Now I just hope my skin will like it, because if it does this is definitely becoming my new primer powder and a staple, I just love the over all feeling of it.

Oh, and I did find use for the Pristine Glow, as a pretty natural blush. Do you know if there's any similar blush shade, but matte?
