Weight in grams of SN foundation?

Hi all. I'm new here, formerly of the EM forum and currently of Chanty's.

Anyway, I'm trying to put together a comparison sheet of unit prices (dollars per gram) of different mineral foundation brands, and SN only has the volume measure (tablespoon) of the baggies. So if any of you happen to have access to a balance or know how much the baggie weighs, that would be awesome.

I know that different things can influence how much the foundation weighs - so an approximate measure or range is fine. (i.e., about 8g, 7-9g)

Thanks!

Here's the deal with net weights...a cup of silk (or boron or silica) weighs a lot less than a cup of rocks (mica or titanium dioxide). Ounce per ounce SN foundation costs us more to make than pretty much any mineral foundation on the market because I just can't bring myself to scrimp on ingredients. I'm not above selling it in plastic bags to keep the price down, but what's in the plastic bag is really expensive stuff.

Original coverage has the most silk in it- so it's the lightest at 4 grams per Tbsp.
Medium coverage is 5 grams
Vegan is 5 grams
Heavy coverage is 5.8 grams

another thing, us as customers can always buy jars to put foundation in :)
I actually have a few different sized jars for the foundations that I use.
I took them out of their original containers to make them more convenient for use.

Emily...A suggestion for your list.

I know you are trying to compile a gram weight comparison, which is great for the consumer, but you might want to add in the ingredients for each and an idea of the ingredient costs. That way it is more of an apples to apples comparison. IMO we do use some of the more expensive ingredients, and our volume is the same as other full sized foundations.

Great idea Jen...the other thing we get asked a lot is about particle size, and micronized minerals. Nope- we don't use them except in the zinc powder, but that's still about double the size of a true nano particle.

I'm sorry if I came off a bit weird in the first post. I'm just not a girl for selling on price.

Thanks! I made sure to take all of that into account, and pointed out that the volume of your product is the same as Everyday Minerals and Meow's Munchkin, so by that standard it works out to less.

You still work out to be a better deal than a lot of companies even with the price-per-gram standard.

If that's not accurate, let me know!

Emily-

I think your comparison looks great. We are kind of the oddball on the market. ;)

Awesome!

So far, I like your stuff! I'm wearing 1WG:10 Ivory, but I think I might need to lighten it a little. But, no more Ivory, and no more makeup budget until the end of the month. :(
