Goodies got here today

They did - both orders turned up! Unfortunately, I didn't get any sleep last night, and I think I'm in hospital tomorrow, but I shall try to find some time to fluff and review - I reckon I can at least try some lippies.

Really looking forward to playing with the morphing shadows (Gasp and Fire), and some of the Lovechild ones, too. And bronzer samples, and Petal Blush, and of course, some of the cream liners.

I shall let you all know how it turns out :)

The site let me review the lippies, but nothing else for some reason (Karen did put in a few extras for me, but it wouldn't even let me review the other things that I ordered myself). Favourite lippie of the six Kiss Blisses I've got so far: Mesmerising, hands down. This is a GREAT colour, and it doesn't make you look like you've been sucking on a grape popsicle. Dark plum with enough pink to keep it fresh - can I give this one ten stars? It's really that good, and if you have Pretty Plum, Carnal, or Babydoll, you need it. Does for dark plum what Hot Blooded does for red.

Haven't done anything with eyeshadows yet, but I did try Petal and the bronzers. Petal is great, even if you're cool-toned. Beautiful natural pink flush for the fairest princesses of them all (I'm not even wearing foundation today and it looks good). If you're light medium it's buildable, and if you're as pale as me, it's goof-proof. Pair it up with Beach Bunny! Yes. You CAN wear this bronzer. You can even contour with it and look fine in real life as well as on camera. Not orange, and not muddy - the natural glow thing again. Perfection.

I still can't figure out exactly what colour XOXO is - sort of pinky, a little mauvey, but it definitely works great with Petal.

Capricious was a nice surprise. I can wear it fine, and it's a really nice bright pinky coral. On the warm side, but not so much you can't pull it off if you're cool. Up to you, though.

Fearless - what can I say? I need to buy an outfit to go with this! But not for the faint of heart.

Tickled Pink is like Pout, only stronger. I'd love to see a cooler pink that's along the same lines as Berry Crush, but I have no complaints on this one.

Don't care for Grace as much but I gave it five stars and I'm not cheating. Tell you why. Anyone who's been around here for a little bit knows my tastes run slightly to the - shall we say - flamboyant? I really don't think they do but they seem to compared to most women. Trust me though, I wouldn't be caught dead in aqua lipstick or the like. BUT - a lot of women like a conservative lipstick. And Grace fits the bill perfectly for a YLBB soft pink - a little shine, a little cover, but not much at all. Even you - yes, you, with all the co-ordinated browns and neutrals in your make up bag - will NOT feel the least bit self-conscious wearing this one, I promise! And it's a pretty shade, it'll suit just about anyone. I think it's something i'd wear with a dusting of Date Bait and a touch of Beach Bunny, and that'd be my entire look for a casual day.

Tahiti Sweetie is too dark for me, but I think if you're light-medium to medium-toned, this would be the bronzer for you - or you could try mixing the two, I think that would work, too. No orange AT ALL.

I'll try to play with the eyeshadows and liners tomorrow if I get the chance.

Nice haul! I've been eyeing that XOXO lippie. I think I'll go ahead and order it next. I'm trying to resist putting in another order before the one I've already placed arrives. Definitely going to make a big purchase next time around. Thanks for the lippie/bronzer reviews!

Hi, gals! I *have to* wait at least another week before I can order again, so I am avoiding the site, ROFL! I don't figure any bronzer will show up on me so I didn't even sample the new ones. The new eye colors, I *love*!!! Brimstone, Haze, & Seagrass are coming out to play all the time ~ really love the effects with these. To me, they are great in the outer corners & as wide wetline...love them!

Love love love the kiss blisses.
Your descriptions of the kiss blisses are pretty much the same as mine except for XOXO.

For some weird reason, i see more red than pink or mauve but after reading your description, i sorta saw some pink but still no mauve although it is suppose to be mauve with beige glitter. Weird i know.

my guess is, it's probably due to the fact that:-

1) my warm skin tone warms the shade up a bit ?? (i don't even know if such thing happens)
2) i still suck at describing colours. haha

..and I so have to grab a sample of petal ASAP!!

RHYS, you are such an enabler!! (my mom would say you are a bad influence instead of an enabler. haha)

Thank you, I do try :)

XOXO is a weird one - Sam has it looking burgundy with silver sparkle on her, on me - like I said, I can kinda describe it but 'goes really well with Petal' seems more accurate than anything else I can say.

I have had long years of being exposed to enablers - mostly tarot/oracle art collectors and artists - ouch ouch ouch, you think MMU is bad? Most of the card boards I frequent have 'De-enabling threads' LOL - seriously, they do. I know people who have had to put extensions on their houses to hold their 7000-deck collections!

I'm waiting on some money to come through, then I shall make another order.

Then Karen will come out with something terrific again, and the cycle will repeat - I am so looking forward to the perfumes. But I need to save money for surgery the second - which I think is actually going to be possible, much of a headache that going to America, finding another surgeon and going through all that again is going to be.

But see - I do the same thing with MMU as I do with cards - gee, I can get these lovely shiny 78 pieces of Italian art for €40'...compared to 'I'll never be able to buy a Botticelli as long as I live'. MMU v regular make up - kind of the same deal. Except the MMU is both cheaper AND better quality :)

But they're both fun, and neither of them have bankrupted me - I can think of worse addictions.

Yes. And I got my money before Paypal died, so it's more make up - f/s bronzer, Petal, lots of e/s's - I wasn't going to do that, but...you know me and eye shadow, refill of the Perfecting Powder, mascara, two more Kiss Blisses, and the grey/silver cream liner - already got the clear, mahogany, and black, but haven't had a chance to have a proper play with them.

Even though my surgery wasn't really successful, at least getting rid of one bad parathyroid let me lose a bunch of waterweight so clothes shopping was becoming essential, too.

And then I found this gorgeous French oracle deck on ebay (I'd been trying to track it down)...soo...

Now I've got to go back to being good - at least until the scents come out :)
