Must have eyeshadows?
I got my first order today, and immediately fell in love with the formula of the eye shadow samples, so naturally, I want to begin a collection of Silk Natural eye shadows. Though, I have troubles knowing where to start! There are so many absolutely lovely shades.
I have blue/grey eyes, very fair skin and wear glasses. Generally, I cannot wear green (though grey/green shades works) or warm toned pinks/purples (look sick). Dark shades are troublesome too, because they tend to minimize my eyes further than my glasses already do. I tend to love peachy eye colours, but already have a ton of those so something different would be fun for a change.
My favourite eye shadow right now is the one I got with my order, Harvest Moon (sadly, I see it is not for sale, or I would have bought one to have as a backup since it is the most gorgeous tearduct colour I own).
So, any eyeshadows you cannot live without, and think no one should be without?

Hi Agnes!
Sprite is really pretty, it looks white, but has a lovely gold sheen/shimmer when you put it on. I really like it a lot!
I also have Whisper, but that is a shimmery baby pink, and you said you don't really like pinks, but maybe this is light enough where it would work.
Another one I have is Spa, that is like a grayish green, so it probably wouldn't work for you since it is green.
That's all I have because I am new here too. There are a lot of really pretty colors, let us know what you end up getting!

Re: Must have eyeshadows?
I've been looking at Sprite, and it looks lovely.
Right now, I have picked out Wink Wink, Idolize, Papyrus and Vanilla.

Re: Must have eyeshadows?
Welcome to SN! If you could tell us your foundation mix or the tone of your skin, that would also help - some colors don't show up that well on warmer or darker skin or some are too strong for light pinkish undertones.
That said, I have blue/grey eyes as well and medium fair skin with yellow undertones and own about 80% (I would say) of SN eye shadows. I love them all and tend to find occasion for each one, but I'll try to pick out my (current) favorites. BTW, reading the reviews will help too on each of them, and there is a great swatch gallery on this forum as well - sometimes the picture of the shadow only tells half the story
* Boom - perfect lid color that I can just wear by itself, or line or crease with a darker color, either neutral or crazy. Good highlighter too. Another good one is Vanilla, but I use Boom way more often, will be ready for refill soon.
* Idolize - I bet you'll here a lot here that it's a must color! Trust us, it is
It may seem dark at first, but you can wear it as a wash or in crease and liner.
* Heather - Great grey, not too cool. Wink Wink would work as well.
* Nymph - morphs into grey, I pair it with Idolize
* Lurid - again, may look dark, but great crease color
* Sandstone - light and peachy, brings out the blues
* Bargain Pink - It looks more peach on me, nice in the crease
* Cashmere - Very pretty light pinkish peachy shimmer
* Nekkid - looks more like a peach shimmer on me
* Dove - matte grey/blue shadow (you'll also need a matte 'white' like Bone)
* Whisper - pink and sparkly but not too pink
* Quiver - I know you said no pinks, but this is mixed with gold, a great morphing color
* Fire - another morphing color, gold undertones - other morphing ones I love is Opal and Gasp - they are lighter colors, so you can use them on the lid and use another light shadow for the crease, in case you didn't want to go all out for daytime.
* Burnish - dark greenish, brownish, bronzy color, great liner (I can't really wear greens/olives either, but this one is great)
* Butterfly Blue - light blue and shiny color, it shows great on my lid, not for every day though, hehe
* Eerie - great blueish purplish liner and crease color
* Breathe - morphing purple - you said no purple, but this one has other undertones, may work, it brings out my blues
* Dusty Mauve and Thistle - nice muted eggplant-ish colors - you can even mix them with a bit of Ivory base to make them ligher.
And I guess I could go on.... I have some favorites that I got as GWP and aren't for sale or some that are discontinued, so I won't tease you with those
I don't really wear neutrals too much, so someone else will have to show you the best browns out there. I got a sample of Bittersweet, I use that sometimes for liner. Good luck and have fun!

Re: Must have eyeshadows?
Thank you. Is Heather more of a purpley grey or a grey grey? The swatch is so sheer I cannot really tell.
Right now, my mix is one scoop of every base, 2 of Buttery Gold, to 40 white scoops. So I guess I have a slight warm undertone but mostly balanced/neutral.

Heather is more purpley. Alloy is more gray.

Re: Must have eyeshadows?
Nekkid would likely be a pretty highlighter colour for you since you're on the warm/neutral side. I agree with Egerandi that Boom is a great base/highlight shade - it's my go-to as well.
Also, don't be afraid to try the morphing shadows. I love the idea of the satin shimmers, but they look horribly shiny on me, even though they shouldn't. It may be because I'm uber-pale and cursed with translucent skin. On most people they look really good. I can wear Sandy but that's about it - and Sandy is more cool than warm. So probably not for you.
But - even though the morphs seem out there (and look really scary if you swatch them on your arm), they're much lighter in texture - and on me they just sparkle a bit when the light hits - they don't make me look like a disco ball. I haven't found one yet that I can't wear, even Fairy Dust - which I was a little hesitant to order, but it looks great on.
And yes, you NEED Idolize. Eveyrbody needs Idolize. We should probably make that a forum sticky

Re: Must have eyeshadows?
I added Idolize to my order
, I don't need any more darks, but I want to see what the fuss is all about.
Also, I forgot to mention in my previous post that while Whisper is a light pink, it also has lots of golden sheen/pearl to it, very pretty!

Re: Must have eyeshadows?
You too? Idolize almost sounds like the shadow of shadows, so of course I'll have to include that in my next order!
I already have a nice, pink highlight colour (makes all the difference when wearing purples, I discovered the other day). So, I've sworn I'll not get another light pink highlight colour until I've run out of that no matter how lovely it looks. Though, when I do eventually run out of my Birthday Cake, Whisper is one colour that looks interesting. There's a lot of colours that looks interesting, which is half the problem. I do want them all, you know, but have promised myself I am only allowed to get truly unique colours that is not a close match to a shade I already own. I mean, what is the point in ten peachy neutral eye shadows if it does not matter which one I reach for when doing a peachy eye?

Re: Must have eyeshadows?
You won't regret getting Idolize! It's not really dark and is considered a one wash color. When I'm in a hurry, I brush it on my eyelids lightly like a base, then layer it on the crease area. When I was a SN newbie, I also wondered why everyone raved about it in the forum till I tried it.
