Carnation vs Daydream

Maybe I'm tripping, but they seem switched to me. I've been swatching the colors on the back of my hand to pick one, and Carnation seems the pinker to me, in the tube and on my hand, true, shiny pink. I'm wearing it today, and it's definitely pink. Other other hand, I wore Daydream the other day, and although it was pink as well, I saw a tad of warmth of that one. What gives? I like them both, btw, especially Carnation, I've been looking to find this exact shade for a while :)

Egerandi,
I'm so glad you posted this! I've been trying to decide which to get and I was leaning towards Daydream because I thought it was pinkier due to the pink sparkles in it. Where the carnation's description says it has gold sparkles in it. Do you see the pink sparkles in Daydream at all? How do they feel on your lips? Do they feel like gloss or heavier? :D

I have to go home and experiment some more, but so far I'm leaning towards Carnation being the cooler pink one. Both feel really nice on my lips, and they aren't really sparkly, more like have a nice sheen to them. They have nice coverage, but they don't feel too heavy or too light. What other lippies do you have? I could compare the feel of them if you want. If you can wait for the results, I'll do some more side by side testing for those two tomorrow during the daylight.

Ooh that would be awesome if you could do the swatches! Thanx so much. I was wondering if they felt sheer and light like sweet nothing or heavier like mirage? How do you think the colors compare to.
centerfold? I also have maiden, and polished pink. Maybe we are looking for the same color! :)

Oh, sorry, I can't really swatch, I only have an iphone to take pics with and they are really not true colors that way :/
I put the lippies on half lip this and half lip that, and I could barely tell the difference. Showed it to the boyfriend: he found Daydream glossier, shinier. The more I look at it, Daydream has a slight rose kick to it, and it somewhat wetter glossy shine, while Carnation definitely has those tiny golden sparkles if you look really closely, but barely noticeable.

They are not sheer like Soft or Damsel, they are more like Mirage - I don't own Mirage but I do have Polished Pink, and it's the same feel. Centerfold is a very nude pink on me, no shine, just bare pink if that makes sense. Polished Pink is a darker nude pink, almost in the browns. Maiden is also a nude pink, not as pink as Centerfold though, more like MLBB. All in all, Daydream and Carnation are colors on their own, and not too close to the ones you already have. Carnation may be a better choice for you if you like Mirage.

Thank you so much, your descriptions were so helpful. I am going to try daydream first, I wanted one that was more of a pink gloss.

Hahaha, no way! The day I posted the original message, I was in love with Carnation. Then I wore Daydream for a day, and it went all out the window. Bah, seriously, I can't tell you which one I like better. They are very similar though, so you can't go wrong with either :) Or both ;

yeah i did half and half on my lips with the two to tell the difference and honestly, they were just close- they're different in my lip swatches where i took pictures but they're very very close.

I've never tried the Vegan formula before. How does it compare to the Organic formula?

I'm in love with Pout and Soft and was wondering if I should get Carnation or Daydream next? I think gold pearls would look more natural but the wetter looking finish really appeals to me. I have both warm and cool undertones in my skin.
