Foundation Help! MAC NC 30

Hi there! I'm new to the SN forum and would like to get help in getting the right sample kit and colour mix.
I am Asian and currently using EDM's Olive Neutral in Semi Matte & my skin is NC 30 from MAC.
Mainly I don't want to be too dependant on EDM as they seem inconsistent lately with their formulations and direction.
Appreciate any help! Thanks!

You will be in the Warm Gold, Buttery Gold, or possibly even Olive category. I really would still purchase the sample kit that contains all of the bases. We have many with your coloring that use various bases to get the right undertone. I recommend swatching each of the bases on your skin (with an eyeshadow brush...lightly) to see which one 'matches' best, and then we can help you from there. I am only positive Ebony will not be right for you on its own......

Hi fiflo,
I'm Chinese, living in Singapore, and use both Mac NC30 and NC 35 (depending on whether I've gotten sun or not). My neck is also lighter than my face, so I have to try to match my foundation to that.
I find the following works for me:
1 Warm Gold : 3 Heavy Ivory : 0.5 Sheer Zinc powder
1 Buttery Gold : 3 Heavy Ivory : 1 Sheer Zinc Powder
Because I don't mix more than that each time, i can always change it up a little in the next batch. Each batch of this quantity lasts me a week.

I used to wear NC25/NC30 depending on suntan, and I'm currently wearing 1 Warm Gold: 6 Regular Ivory scoops (I'm pale right now, so on the NC25 side of coloring). This summer, I was wearing a 1:5 ratio

Hi ladies!
My samples arrive in record time! 7 days! Normally it takes 10 days from USA to Singapore.
Just a quick question for the Asian ladies, do none of you use Olive?
At EDM, I supposedly am in the olive family using olive neutral/light Martian/sweet almond. me and my green under tones.
