Help with foundation please

First of all-thanks in advance for any help.
I've ordered my first set of cosmetics from SN, including a sample foundation kit, but would appriciate some help in getting a good starting point.
In EDM, Beige Fairly Light is a pretty good match, although I'm not convinced by it's staying power.
Not sure I've figured out how to attach a photo to this (am a total techno-phobe), but am pretty pale, with medium brown hair, eyebrows and eyelashes, blue/grey eyes and have always had problems getting foundations from shops in town to match as they always seem too pink/orange.
Thanks
Liz

Hi Eliz, and welcome. Sorry that no-one's answered you yet so I'll try and help until the vastly more knowledgable ladies arrive. You look like a Warm Gold to me. You've a bit of pinkness, but your undertones are closer to golden/yellow with beige - so buttery gold or warm gold - but as you've got a tiny hint of olive, I'd suggest Warm Gold is a closer match of those two. Plus it might add a little built-in colour correction to help even out that hint of pinkness but without doing weird things to your complexion

I might be off the mark here, but if I remember right, EDM Beige Fairly Light has quite a strong peachy tone to it, too. We've a peach base colour too, so if Warm Gold isn't quite right, a touch of that added in might help - but that's really where you'd need advice from our moderator and foundation mixing guru, Jen.
I'm not sure about scoops - maybe one scoop of colour base to 6-8 of ivory, but unless anyone else can help with a more specific advice, just start there and play around adding more ivory if needs be. Once you get your basic colour right, it's so much easier to tweak it that you'd think - just do it one step at a time.
Have fun, and come ask if we can help you at all.

Thanks Cupcake
Your suggestion is pretty much what I had thought, but it's nice to have some reassurance that I'm not a long way off the mark.

Hi Liz,
I agree with Cupcake. I would definitley start with Warm Gold. It might need to be slightly lighter than she suggested, but that is why we test it out! Good luck mixing and let us know how it goes.

Thanks guys-1 Warm Gold to 10 Ivory seems to be about perfect.
I'm so impressed with the stuff I ordered, I've already ordered some more. I can feel an addiction brewing
