i know the super serum has some skin lightening properties (and it is really nice!) but i was wondering if karen would consider making a serum solely designed for lightening/brightening specific trouble areas (some of the other more natural serums i know contain stuff like wildberry extract, kojic acid, or white daisy). i've tried them in small amounts, but never consistently because they can get expensive. i'd be really happy to see something like this released with all of the other wonderful skin care! (i have also read that AHA can help too, especially when used with those other products, and SN already has that for a reasonable price.)

Well it's a side effect of the super serum- but partly what it's designed for. If I were going to do something very lightening about the only other thing I'd add is licorice- which we'll probably make available as a "booster shot" so you can add it to anything. I've used kojic in the past and it sorta works, but you're right about the price...even as a bulk active it's pricey. I've been using the super serum for about a month, and my freckles are pretty much gone. The age spot I had has lightened considerably too. I think the niacinamide/vitamin c/ green tea combo gives about the best "bang for the buck" as far as lightening goes- I've used the kojic and I really think the results are as good or better with the super serum with more benefits and a better price. I can make something with kojic but it feels like a step backwards.

I'm eagerly awaiting my sample of Super Serum with my latest order

so I'm really glad it's worked so well for you, Karen.
What a great idea

to bring out a brightening/whitening booster shot thingy too though - that woud be fantastic so I can really 'blast' the areas of my face where I have melasma. I'd DEFINITELY buy that.

I'm trying the Super Serum just now, my first day. Obviously it's too early to report results but the serum is comfortable and no problem to wear. It's been a terribly hot day here (which I don't tolerate well) and my skin has not itched, flushed red, or had any problem. I've got some freckles from a very hot and sunny week last month which I hope this will help. They're a bit unfortunate in that they look like stains from the drips from a tea bag! My skin is loving a few drops of this over two good pumps of GT&A serum followed by the Jojoba Moisturiser (potential genius). If it lightens the freckles too, I'll call that a result!

thanks for the reply, karen! i think i'll just try concentrating on using the super serum on my melasma then, and use my other serums for the rest of my face. i'd try the licorice too if you decide to offer it. thanks again!
