Oh please keep us updated Kirti! I would love to hear what your final formulation is! I have the same problems with just olive looking kind of off on me. It needs a little something but the warm and buttery golds are too yellow.

That's what I'm hoping to do when I get the yellow booster: mix a bit of all purpose mix with original medium and tweak. This time however, I won't be dumping whole bags, hah!

Exactly kinjali - you've hit the nail right on the head. For a long time, I was trying to make 1:1 ivory and warm gold work but it just made me look sallow! I'm not at home for a few days, as soon as I get back, I'll try out my new mix :)

Hi again!
I posted a foto before but that picture wasn't good. Now I have a new picture, taken in daylight and without make up and I see a big difference between my scin tones in the two pictures (p.71 in this thread). Could you please tell me again what you think? :)

Thank you!

Erikan-

I think Olive or Warm Gold. Warm Gold about 1 scoop color to 8 or 9 white...for Olive 1 scoop color to about 12 white. I think Buttery Gold will be too yellow. Ebony will be too flat, Peach will be too pink.

Have you tried in the past to get a match? If so, what did you try, and what was off about them?

Thank you!
I started with halv a scoop of olive and six ivory, but it got to light so I added more olive after your suggestion but I don´t know exactly how much but around 1:8. When I bought new foundation I just compared with the old instead of measuring with the scoop. I think that it is good on me and I am wearing it almost every day :) . It's just that I think it is difficult to see on my self. With 1:12 I looked almost white in my face.

Thank you again!

You are welcome! Sometimes it is hard for me to get the depth just right, but I think Olive in a 1:8 or 1:9 sounds good!

I think I've kinda got it! :D

My olive mix always looked kinda off, but today I went all mad scientist - I added 2 scoops to ivory to 1 scoop of olive, that was too light so I added one more scoop of olive, then half more of white and one more of olive. And it's BANG ON! Woohoo :D

So I'm a 2.5 ivory:3 olive! I hope this is helpful with anyone who is close to my complexion (I have pics on this colour help forum). :) and a BIG thanks to Jen for being patient with me and all my queries!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to silk naturals and am wondering if anyone can help me with a recipe. I consider myself to be pretty pale and have some redness from acne and sensitivity that I would like to tone down. Jen from the MEOW forums said I was "mostly beige/neutral, with a bit of yellow and the slightest touch of peach". For references I am currently wearing Meow FF in Frisky/Naughty Abyssinian (not the lightest shades I was totally shocked!) with a ratio of 3 or 4:1. In BE I was Fair (1c) but it was a little to dark. MAC was NC15, again to dark. I have never found a match in EDM, but never came up with a match, and tried JLynne way to long ago to remember if I came up with a match or not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have ordered the sample kit, hopefully it will go out on Monday...you poor East coasters and Snowpocalypse.

I will try and attach a picture but my computer and phone don't seem to get along =(

TIA

Jeni
