What are we missing?
Re: What are we missing?
I'd love to see a sturdier jar included with the foundation starter kits. I find the sifter really hard to remove, and removal will usually cause some cracks on the jar and/or sifter. I'm always afraid I'll break the sifter when I remove it - It's super snug. I really have to go under there first with a finger nail, and then use tweezers to ply it off. Since the jar is to be reused, a stronger one would be superb.
Re: What are we missing?
just a suggestion, but have you tried using a knife? The edge is thin enough to slide between the jar and the sifter and strong enough to pop the sifter out without denting it. I've always done it this way and i've never cracked/chipped a jar. My dog has cracked a jar...but I have notWendyD wrote:I'd love to see a sturdier jar included with the foundation starter kits. I use my pocket knife and I've broken a sifter. I would also like a sturdier container (and larger) for foundation.Xarata wrote:just a suggestion, but have you tried using a knife? Re: What are we missing?
lol. I use a butter knife, but they DO say that people cut themselves more often on dull blades than on sharp ones.WendyD wrote:That sounds... kinda dangerous

I can just imagine myself using fingernails or tweezers and i know I would A)hurt my fingers/fingernails B)Get really really frustrated and C)undoubtedly jab the palm of my hand with the tip of the tweezers and end up bleeding OR send the sifter flying, most likely into my face.
I'm pretty klutzy and I hurt myself with all kinds of things (I've burned myself with a pair of tweezers, cut myself on a vacuum, severly damaged my cartilage with a jar of honey, been stung on the eyelid by a bee-not related to honey incident, the list goes on. Both my mother and my husband have learned to roll their eyes at my klutziness and I'm frequently asked if I'm still in one piece.), but i can't say as i've hurt myself with a butterknife... yet...

Re: What are we missing?
i have. Always, always, ALWAYS put the knives pointing downward in the dish drainer. Even the butter knives. Trust me, the phone call to emergency services with 'I have a large knife stuck in my wrist', resultant ambulance, casualty ward, and mandatory psychiatric evaluation (I was trying to unplug the toaster - it wasn't a suicide attempt! - as they look at you in disbelief) just aren't worth it.
Losing all that blood isn't fun, either, but you probably already know that.

Re: What are we missing?
I know there are already loads of requests here…but I need to add another!
I would LOVE a cream glycolic acid cleanser or even I’d settle for a glycolic acid toner with a much higher percentage than the current AHA, something at least 10%-15% for those of us that like acids!! (sorry if that sounds so freaky….)…I have the AHA toner, and so far I really like it and it is great for more frequent use on my skin, but for some reason whenever I get some spots on my face, only my glycolic cleanser seems to really help with them …not sure if there is a reason for using the lactic acid now in the AHA toner, but I would love this one in addition to the current toner line up…maybe a gumball to see how it could work?
ETA: a acne powder treatment (with glycolic acid or sulphur - or both...) would also be a great addition....I only need these things once in a while for the occasional spot
ETAA:....opps, just realize that I already asked for this here....but I am now being more specific....can anyone tell I love GA?

oh my word, Rhys! I don't use a dish drainer, but now i know what would happen if i did! I lay all my silver flat on a dishtowel. Gotta keep an eye out for potential disasters. That must have been so scary just reaching over to the plug and coming back with a knife sticking out of you!Rhys wrote:i have. I am a klutz, too. I have a scar on my hand from a butter knife where as a teen I accidentally cut myselftrying to open something.
Admittedly, it was a butter knife with smallish serrations. The one I use now to open sifters is very thin and blunt.

Re: What are we missing?
Lol@ Xarata and Rhys! I am a total klutz too, my dh is super coordinated and has really good spatial awareness, and he just does not get how I am always dropping stuff, walking into stuff etc. I also always fall down our stairs, they laid the carpet the wrong way so it is slippery, and I just slide down in my socks all the time
I remember one time I fell down the stairs, and the first thing my dh said was not 'are you OK' but 'What the H*ll is wrong with you?' As a super coordinated person (the kind who catches things as they are falling off the table because I knocked them over etc.) he just cannot understand how I can be the opposite.
A good friend of ours was laying carpet, and accidentally cut a really deep vertical cut down his wrist (perfectly straight too) with a box cutter, the psych at the hospital had a really hard time believing that wasn't deliberate, lol!
