Thank you again! I am just wondering, does it mean that I have pink or yellow undertone?
Have a good day!

I made some edits not sure if it will help or not.
But I tried the olive as one and then made another WG and I think the Olive might work better. I might add a hint of WG. We'll see I'll keep you all posted.
Oh and if the olive works better I'll have a full bag now of WG....can that be returned or am I done for in this case?
Thank you so much!!!

I just wanted to say that you look like you have the same undertones I do, I am mexican as well

My best match is a mix between buttery gold and a little dash of olive, Hope you find your match!-Rose

Hi! I'm new to the foundation mixing game and would love some guidance! I'm attaching a picture taken outdoors without foundation, at mid-day in indirect sunlight.
In Aromaleigh I'm between level 1 and 2, I think. Their 2C is pretty good colorwise though a bit too pink and intense. Their level 1 neutral and warm cover my redness but leave me looking a bit lifeless. My neck and shoulders are yellower and lighter than my face and chest (sun damage) but even my non-exposed areas have a little peach to them.
Thanks for any help and suggestions!

I think your undertone is more yellow or warm.

I would try our Ebony at about 1 scoop color to about 10 Ivory. I can't tell for sure if it will need a bit warming up. One thing to remember is that the foundation more gives a canvas, and you may have to use something like a bronzer or highlighter to liven up the face.

I got my samples in the mail. I think I should have maybe purchased more than one sample kit. I made 2 different batches, am already out of the ivory powder and I don't think I have it right yet!
I made the 1 ebony:9 ivory and it was too dark. I added 3 more ivory up to 12. Was still too pink for me... I added 1/2 warm gold. Now it's too dark and orangey pinkish? Probably ruined. As this swatch sits on my arm it just gets darker and darker! So in the end the recipe was 1 ebony:12 ivory: not quite 1/2 warm gold... wrong! I guess maybe I should have added a tinch of olive to this one instead of the WG?
Also made the 1 olive:16 ivory but that was looking weird with the greeny look... So I added about 3/4 of ebony to it to tone it down (because I already knew gold wouldn't help me! LOL) and another 1 ivory (all I had left!) It looks wrong right away but then softens (on my arm) to come closer to my Meow Sleek Siamese which is my match. But it still seems just a bit wrong? I'm scared to try it full face. I swatched on my jaw and went outside with a mirror but they both looked way weird so I was scared to try anything full face because I had to go somewhere! This final recipe ended up being 1 olive:17 ivory:3/4 ebony... still just a touch pink? I do have some medium ivory that I ordered. Should I add that? Will that help?
I also even took a scoop of each of these mixes and mixed them together in a third jar and that was bad too! I guess the closest is the olive/ebony one with the 17 ivories if i can get the pink a little tinch less. I'm freaked out at this mixing! AAACK!

Usually an arm swatch does not tell much. I know you mentioned that the Olive mix was a little greeny, but I would have tried that one full face as the green part is a slight color correction for redness. As for the others seeming too pink, did you try them on your face with a proper brush? Usually, the color cannot be judged in the first few minutes it is on your skin. It needs a chance to blend with your skin.
I would try the Olive mix you made full face. It might surprise you. Just try it on a day you are not planning to do much.

Ok the one with ebony/ warm gold turns peach-orange after a few minutes. Before I added the warm gold it was just quite pink on me, so I added the WG to be yellowish instead of pink but i ruined that whole batch because now it's like solid nectarine after a few minutes. I don't know if at this point i would even try to add anything to it to help (even if I had more original ivory, but I don't.) I think fixing it is pointless because I would never want to try to make the same mix again, would just be too complicated with too many smidges of each different component. I'll just chalk this one up to a first timer mistake!
Today I tried the other one full face. 1 olive: 3/4 ebony:18 ivory (I scraped every last bit out of the bag and used a touch of the medium ivory. It works pretty good. Might look just a touch ashy? I have to take a mirror outside to see it in sunlight for sure. I look once and I look ok then I look again and I look a tad ashy, then I think it's fine again. Maybe it's just the difference in formula from Meow to SN that is the main difference? DO many people balance olive and ebony together? it seems like it needs both to make the right color for me. I don't know why I'm so nervous and freakish about this matching, that it's my fault if I screw it up and make it wrong! LOL

Ashy usually means it is too light and needs more pigment....but not much. Warm Gold really does not add yellow, but more peach...and Peach is pink plus yellow. That is probably why your first mix was orangy pink. It was too pink to start and you added more pink. I still think Olive on its own is your best bet.

i suppose i could make a batch of just olive to medium ivory and see... I am already out of the original from these other 2 batches but I had purchased a sample bag of medium coverage with my order.
Although I finally got a chance to take a mirror with me and just go outside to look and I do think the olive/ebony/ivory is pretty close to a perfect blend.
