I added a little Glow base to my foundation, too. Right now I am about 1 Olive:2 Glow:12 Original Ivory.

I have been going through a... transitional phase?... with foundation lately. I bought a bunch of stuff that didn't work for me (from other brands - you'd think I'd learn to not do that anymore) and I've been getting samples here and there from my kind friends on the SN swap board... so I've been improvising some stuff and I have come around again to going back to using perfecting powder instead of foundation, so here's the plan:

1 refill baggie Tempt Tryst
1 refill baggie Untinted Blur
1 refill baggie Silk powder
1 sample size Love Lure
ebony until it matches (probably not much)

Shake well, apply. I can't wait to try this next time!

My match right now seems to be 0.5 ebony : 0.5 warm gold : 7 ivory in medium coverage.

I might adjust it to add a little more gold later but I'm really loving how much of a match it is.

I thought it was going to be really annoying to have to mix my own foundation and almost didn't even bother buying any samples. I have to tell you I'm glad I did because I love having this control! It's really fantastic AND fun! I'm very pleased and will be placing a large order soon. :)

I was a Fairly Light Neutral over on EDM but realizing now it wasn't the best match for me.

Jen, you're suggestion on my foundation was spot on!!! My boss (female) complimented me today on my foundation and that means a lot!
I've seen pictures of me wearing (what I thought was a good match) foundation in another brand before, and realise that it just looked wrong! Thank you so much!

Hello! I'm not sure if this goes here but I felt making another thread was quite unnecessary. I was curious about how the original SN foundation formula looks like. I really like semi matte from EDM and was wondering if the finish is something similar to that? I don't like anything too matte or glowy. D:

Original is probably closest to Semimatte. We do also have Glow Base in Ivory that you can add in small increments to add a little glow if you find the Original formula on its own to be too matte. I put a little glow in mine. I am 1 Olive:12Original:2Glow.

OK after weeks of tweaking and testing, this is my mix.

2 Perfecting Powder: 0.5 Buttery Gold: 1 Ebony: 11 Ivory (Medium Coverage)

I was a Sandy Fair/Ivory mix (1:1 ratio in the Intensive formula) at EDM.

NW15 from MAC is too dark and orange on me.

I just received my first samples of silk natural foundations and I'm eager to find my foundation recipe. Does anyone know the recipe or where to start to find my recipe. I wear any of the following:

Everyday Minerals: Fairly Light Neutral
Lumeire: Light Medium Neutral in Veena Velvet

Thanks!

Hi all,

I'm new here. I'm wonder if anyone has any recipes for recommendation if I'm currently using Lumiere light medium golden in Cashmere formula. I was wondering if anyone has a comparison of the coverage of all 3 to those of EDM or Lumiere. I wonder how heavy the coverage is. I've tried this when SN 1st started. But somehow, the color always appears too yellow for me. So I was thinking if I need the olive base instead.. Help pls~~

Thanks!

hey moonleo,
you may want to try to post your foundation questions under the "Color Questions" tab and the thread "Need foundation help?...Please post here." Jen will see your questions and see if she can help. This thread is more for people who have already found their matches.
