Hello:
This will be my first time buying Silk Naturals and I can't wait to see how this turns out. I need to buy a foundation ASAP! I'm using EDM right now but I want to try something else. I use Golden Medium but I'm not even sure if it's the right shade.
I'm not sure what colors I should start out with. My pic is attached. In this pic I"m NOT wearing EDM.

- does this pic come out huge?

I would also like suggestions for blush and concealers.
Please let me know what you think will work for me...thanks!

mexicanbabe-
I would try Warm Gold and Buttery Gold......1 scoop color to about 5 or 6 white. I can't really tell from the pic which would match better, but my gut says Warm Gold.

For under eye concealer, try Medium Peach Sleep in a Jar. For blush.....Embrace, Satisfied, or Be Mine

This is my first time using mineral makeup, I have oily skin just got my sample kit and need help with my skin tone foundation recipe.
Also got tinted oil control finishing and primer, matte blushes: flirt, poppy, embrace... but I would like all kind of items suggestions to try and get a natural look.
I also have a sample of sleep in a jar, I didn't try on my face but is too yellow, so not sure if I pick wrong.

Hi Bambi -
Jen's away this week-end, but looking at your picture, I'd say start with about 6 scoops of ivory to 1 of warm gold. You may need to darken or lighten a little bit, but that's a good baseline. If you find it isn't yellow enough, you can go with the buttery gold instead. But I'd start with the WG and see how that looks.
I agree that Warm Gold is a great place to start. I think you might need it a little darker than 1:6, but not much...maybe 1:5? As for the yellow concealer....give it a try. It is very sheer and might lighten the area under your eyes just enough. If you decide it is not right, consider trying Medium Peach concealer.
Thanks to both of you! I'm between 1:4, 1:5

Hi!
I am brand new here at Silk Naturals' forum. I just ordered my first kit a Perfect Harmony foundation kit and am excited to try this new makeup. I was a huge fan of Everyday Minerals until recently when it started to break me out. : ( Using Every day Minerals I was a combo of fairly light and sandy fair. Do you have any recommendations for me? I have posted some pictures below. One is with me wearing makeup and one is without. As you can see I am very fair.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Leighanne

wearing Everyday minerals mix of sandy fair and fairly light in matte finish.

Based on both what your mix was in EDM and your pic, I think you will be a mix of Ebony and Warm Gold. I would try 1 Ebony: 0.5 Warm Gold: about 12-14 Ivory. (one scoop Ebony plus a half scoop Warm Gold plus about 12 to 14 scoops white)

I would start with Olive at about 1:12(1 scoop color to about 12 scoops white).

Thanks JenW.
So I tried that... Well i can't say it's not good
but it's not the look I want. I feel it too yellow, olive...
(to help in Meow, I'm a Sleek Chausie)
And I would like more something like that (pale pink porcelain).
